1. It's no secret, so let's face it; Bono commits quite a lot of misstakes live when singing U2's songs, such as skipping parts, switching them, and using the wrong word(s).

What live lyrical errors have you noticed Bono doing that are notable? Share what you know, and include show if possible.

The only one I can think of myself as for now is confusing pride with life in the break of "Pride (in the name of love), which is a rather huge error considering the lyrics' meaning. It was an U"nforgettable fire" show in 1985, but I can't quite remember which. Might have been Wellington or Vancouver.

Edit: The show was Wellington 1984.
  2. didn't he screw the lyrics of ASOH on the first Slane 2001 gig?
  3. How can you know he does it a lot if you can only quote one instance?

......so what did he actually say/sing instead of the correct lyrics??
  5. among the best might be Fast Cars from Boston 12/4/05
  6. One during the Popmart Tour is an example of a song Bono had problems with the lyrics. I dont remember the date.

Everyone makes mistakes Most of the time it only makes the performance better.
  7. So what? He's not a robot.
  8. 'a mole, diggin in a hole' is a gooden.

Whats that you say? Thats an actual lyric? oh dear

  9. Haha!
