    U2's upcoming album, " No Line on the Horizon," will be available in five different incarnations, the glitziest of which carries a $96 list price on Amazon.com. The set is due March 2 internationally and the following day in North America.

    Beyond the standard CD and double vinyl packages, "Horizon" will be offered in three additional limited editions.

    The digi-pack version, which lists for $35.98, has the CD in a cardboard folded sleeve with a 36-page booklet, a fold-out poster and "a new film from Anton Corbijn featuring the music of U2," the latter of which is available as a download.

    The magazine version, for $49.98, finds the CD housed in "a special 60-page soft cover magazine-style book," and also includes the downloadable Corbijn film.

    Lastly, the box set version comes, naturally, in a box with a 60-page hardcover book, a second poster and the Corbijn film on DVD.

    Although the track list for "No Line on the Horizon" has yet to be announced, Q Magazine reports it will feature songs such as "Magnificent," "Stand Up," "Winter," "Breathe," "Every Breaking Wave" and "Crazy Tonight," the latter of which sports as-yet-unspecified contributions from the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am.

  5. I'm really curious as to what the Corbijn film is. I wonder how the film connects with the album, if at all. I don't think they'd just plop a film in a box set with their new album if it didn't have to do with the album itself, even if Anton is a good firend/collaborator.

    If it does have something to do with NLOTH, i'm really curious as to what it could be.

    I think it'll be like the Outside In America video, with photo shoots and other locations where they recorded the album. It sounds interesting, but will that be the same film that you get on the DVD, or that is something else altogether?

    Regardless, I'm gonna get that box set - just because. If the music is worth it, why not.
  7. Just thinking that 5 versions is only one more than the 4 Bommb versions we got and this box set and magazine etc sound a lot more interesting than anything else to have been released by U2 ever
    (maybe apart from a few promos and the JT remaster box. Saying that, i'll be buying the single cd and vinyl on release day and searching online for the cheapest price of all of the other formats.

    Magazinze version sounds like the one to get for me.

    unfortunately they all sound pretty sweet.....unfortunate because it will bankrupt me....i know we all share the same pain here haha
  9. The box set is expensive if you compare it to The Joshua Tree box set - that had two cds, a book and a dvd. Hope it's a really nice box. No doubt I'll still get it.

    Every Breaking Wave
    With or Without You style building up layers of guitar over electroncially enhance verses............Key line "Every Sailor knows that the Sea/Is a friend made enemy"

    Breathe
    Arabic cello gives way to joyful chorus. Bran Eno says this is U2's best ever song.

    Winter
    6 minute ballad. Acoustic string laden ballad about a soldier in the snow in Afganistan. Will appear in the new film 'Brothers' starring Tobey Maguire.

    Cedars of Lebanon
    In the style of a war correspondent lyric from Bono.............end with "Choose your enemies carefully cos they will define you"
