1. Possibly a newie, failing that maybe COBL?

But I suppose this is for another topic.

  2. It's about the new tour, so...I hope an electric version of Please will come back. Please/Magnificent/Streets sounds good.

  3. The only thing that would prevent this would be on a musical level. I'd love to see this happen BUT, if we go by the last tour, Streets was played in D whilst COBL was in Ab, and they wouldn't segue together in the manner that, say, AIWIY or Bad did because during Elevation, Streets was in Db and thus they were in relative keys. Basically, they'd have to drop Streets down a notch or put COBL UP a notch in order to make any such segue possible. However, COBL is another song that needs a buildup to really work, like on the Milan DVD with the AIWIY>>COBL buildup. Ok, they kinda messed up COBL but in principle it worked, so maybe something like *new song - Magnificent?*>>COBL>>Streets for like the big kickarse set piece to blow us all away? I like the sound of it anyway, even without having a sodding clue as to what any of the new songs might be keywise etc...

I share that opinion! I also hope for a full electric version of Electrical Storm and Walk On

Just the name Magnificent makes it a magnificent idea...
  6. long as there's a bombastic screen and no Pride in the setlist, All will be magical

If so, looking at the titles from the Q info. I'll wager its going to be called either the Stand Up Tour or the Breathe Tour.

I've got a fondness for "No horizon(s)" as a potential tour name - plays with the album name obviously, but also reflectS both their status as well as the music itself - after all they've done they can now surely proclaim there is indeed no horizon to their music or talent etc.

    Just a thought.

Interesting and probably the more likely of tour names, none of the suggested album tracks really stand out as potential tour names, not like Vertigo or Elevation, maybe an album theme will appear, like Zoo TV or PopMart

Another non-new song could be Beautiful Day. One Tree Hill I think segued into Steets once or twice during Lovetown and it worked a treat.

    Here's some more inspiration...

  10. Agree about Pride, and No Horizon is quite a plausible tour name. I like it.

Can't be sure about OTH (although I'm not discounting it, it may have segued into Streets, I haven't listened to every Lovetown boot), I mean whenever they've played it, it's been in B, so somewhere along there's a requirement to change the 'sex' of the key to a minor in order to fit into the key of D (I mean, if one uses Please>>Streets as an example, Please was played in Bm which is the minor chord of Db, hence the transition was possible). If Streets was being played in Db, I can't see how it would work

Beautiful Day could certainly work since it's played in D, as Streets has been played in the past (the most prominent example being the last tour), but I don't know know if I can see it working. And since BD is one of the songs many have highlighted as needing a bit less playtime...who knows.

Have a listen to Osaka 1 December 1989. Edge may have changed guitars during "Run to the ocean" end vocals and organ sounds, but it did work I felt.
