    I would be shocked if the single comes out so early, how much did Vertigo predate the album by?


    Vertigo went like Full Metal Jacket > Shark Soup > Native Son > Vertigo (or different)?

    I reckon the single will be here late January, promo shows played through February and bang, new album before you know it.

  4. beautiful day was released 3 weeks b4 ATYCLB, i duno if it was played on air earlier? but i know that vertigo got 1st air play 24th September and wasnt released as a single till november 8, only 2 weeks b4 HTDAAB was released, so realistically still a while for single but airplay should be ,if at all, at any time, and i pray to god that if its get ur boots on, then its been changed big time since the beach clips.

  6. ahhahah yep, although clips r bad quality i still think its the worst of all 4, 1st 20secs r good but then the 'sweetness turns to sour' so to speak, the chorus is crap i cant stand how edge sings over bono or vise-versa, the riff is promising tough, and catchy imo its like one of those unrealesed b-side's that u r glad never made the album. but i have a feeling the song as with the other 3 clips has been changed since these recordings all the way back from august, alot can change in that time, when these clips 1st surfaced u2s record company took them off within days, but the clips up now have been up for more then 3 months and they havent been removed, i rekon casue they r different from the new stuff the record company doesnt care if people listen to the clips.

    Just out of interest....how do tickets for promo shows become available?? Are they easy to get??


  8. Usually competition winners or invite only usually. Keep an ear on the local radio when the single is out


  9. U2log.com usually has details quite regularly about it, and atu2.com can as well. But this all appears on the front page of this site, so you can keep your eye on that.

    Oh yeah - Q Magazine in Australia doesn't come through until early February.


  12. yeh but theres like a 20 page thing on them in the mag and ive only seen like 10 pages tops on scans, plus i just want to be able to hold it in my hands and admire the cover, and all 20-odd pages.
