Most audio CDs now are around the 700MB mark for 80mins, but god help most bands putting on 40mins, let alone twice that.

  3. Hopefully, it won't be the longest time between tours though. We may only have to wait 2.5 years from the end of Vertigo to the start of Horizon. There's good three year gaps or more between tours in the past. I know there was a lengthy gap during Vertigo though.
  4. So where were the rumors that U2 was going to release the first single around January 6th or 7th coming from? I had been reading about them, and I was really hoping to hear "Get Your Boots On" randomly in my car yesterday!

Haha, no such thing happened, unfortunately.

Also, does anyone know if the YouTube video of some kid playing the opening riff to "GYBO" is authentic? It sounds pretty cool...

  5. The description of the video says it is from a certain session broadcast from one of the band member's houses during a drunken escapade. (Don't close the topic on my account, Dan!)

I don't think the album will be 'long'. They felt Pop was a bit 'long'. The idea of not wanting to have an album outstay it's welcome, was why "Mercy" and "Fast Cars" were cut from many versions of "...Atomic Bomb" (Although "Fast Cars" being added to some country's versions and deluxe versions)

Most of the articles are listing between 10-12 songs. That will probably be the case. Maybe a bonus track on one of the deluxe or ultra-deluxe versions.

Then again, we'll know soon enough! Less than 2 mos away and an "official" tracklist from Principle Mgt. should surface soon.
  7. According to The Rolling Stone article the track Winter has been discarded, seems contradictory to the Q article.

that does seem weird and I hope they put it back on. I like the slower, weirder songs. Great article. Need to hear this shit
