1. Don't hold your breath. The livestream will most likely be limited to UK/Eire Residents.

The song will be online everywhere 5 minutes after the 1st airing, though.

Perhaps not - I've heard people from the US & Australia playing requests on 2fm for their loved ones back home etc, so obviously they can access 2fm over the Internet. It's easy to check out anyway - just click on the link from Dave's page and see if it works prior to the 18th / 19th.
  3. Time to come out, get rid of this mad hype...

Yep, the usual show can be accessed. But when there's something like the first airing worldwide of the new U2 single, they'll limit access to UK/Ireland. That's what they planned/did when BD and Vertigo had it's first airing.
It all became useless after a croatian station played it earlier, though.

will the quality be any good for the song, and also if it is midnight in Dublin what is the time in Adelaide?

I checked out the link, and radio RTE 1 works fine, is that the one im after?
  7. If someone pulls it from a digital radio broadcast, it should be fine, at least until it comes out in shops.
  8. For anyone interested i sped vertigo up from 140bpm(original speed) to 150bpm, just to get an idea of what u2 sounds like at that pace.

u can check it out if u want.

After the breakfast shows, which is 9am and if you're lucky, two or three times throughout the day - which is usually 12pm and 3pm - usually at the quarter hours. That's how it was with Beautiful Day and Vertigo, and if I remember, Discotheque.

That's not to say you won't be seeing MP3 links of an early radio rip anywhere as soon as the song is broadcasted on some station. TripleM's set is usually made of Desire, Window In The Skies, I Will Follow, Pride, City of Blinding Lights and One, and Mix usually plays the typical - Beautiful Day, One etc.

As soon as u2mp3s.com or Interference has a copy, we'll have it up, or someone here will tape and upload it here, so don't worry too much.

Yeah agreed. Just keep an ear out on your Austereo network. Bound to be played a few times on the first few days.

  10. Yep, they were clever enough to shoot themselves and U2 in the foot.
  11. According to Brian Eno it's the best album they've done

So I was out on the protest march from Hyde Park to the Israeli Embassy this afternoon, and as I look to my left who should be walking next to me but Brian himself! I said hello and remarked upon how great it was that so many people were out in protest despite the bitter cold..then I moved in for the kill!

"So...just how good is NLOTH then Brian?" And with a smile he said "Devastating! It's devastatingly brilliant!" I reacted with a happy grin and he went on to say "I can honestly say it's the best album they've ever done, and people will love it"

I didnt want to ask anything more as I didnt think the timing was in any way appropriate, so I just said "Excellent" and we went on to talk more for 10 minutes or so about the situation in Gaza as we walked on, then he said that he was going to move on through the crowds a little quicker so that he could get closer to the front. He said "Good talking to you and take care" and off he disappeared.

Yeah, I know that what he said about it being the best album they've ever done isn't the most original line, but it sounded good hearing it face to face from him!

  12. He said this some time ago as well, didn't he? I certainly hope he's right........but what will we do to him if he's not?
