1. It's different, that's all I'm thinking right now lol. Maybe the band think that they should go for something 'arty' to reflect their ideas surrounding the actual music, what with all the stuff they keep coming out with saying it's a new chapter and a new approach etc. Whether it is, we shall have to wait and see.

  2. Yeah u2.com has to change their style, we won't have to

We may not know anything for sure, but that doesn't mean we have to defend a scenario with a 1% probablility either.

Like if a song title defines the style of the song. And the overall mood of the album. Let's just wait before making conclusions like that.

That's exactly what I explained to a friend a few minutes ago...

  5. It's the font used by Universal Spain for the official GOYB announcement. Might be the new U2-font, I don't know. U2Spain used that font before when they posted a possible tracklist weeks ago.

Ali's vision (or his friends vision) seems good to me. THat '=' symbol is the clue. It is a great cover for sure..we're already discussing it to death here. Compare HTDAAB with this...great difference. All you can say of HTDAAB's -cover was: 'Nice set of colors, cool photo' or the opposite.
  6. I made a cover quite similar to the one posted by U2.com. I added text and made some slight differences.

  7. This is a nice one; but your original wins out easily. I won't even try...or will I?
  8. I don''t like it. I think the "U2" letters shall be together, above the "=" or even above the whole image, exactly opposite to the NLOTH title (which I love by the way). That would be great for me

Me too, but I heard rumors that the letters will be placed in a way similar to this, if there are any letters.

Ah well...I only see the cover when I grab the CD. And who's knows what's inside..

It looks like the early 80s live posters, how the U and the 2 are positioned vertically.

And the Best of 2000 - 2010 mockup, surely they'll go for something else.
  11. Casper your second cover is too cluttered and reminds me of a fraction.

Try and copy the official cover exactly, except replace the background image with the one you used in your original cover (the one of the invisible horizon), and see if that works better than what they have.
  12. I actually really like the cover. It also makes me think of another album cover that is just as minimalist but holds an album that's wildly eclectic. Not unlike this new U2 album, perhaps?

    Behold...
