I think that's what it is. Some software on the CD maybe...

He wants to shove some sort of software widget on the CD with album art, web-links and lyrics and whatever other bloated stuff to plug-in to the iTunes.

I would if it wasn't a JPEG file, which doesn't actually move. I still wonder if those little equal signs are hiding the new font they're gonna use and the title. The whole idea I think, is if people see this record, and it's released to manufacturing as to how it looks right now, they'll pick it up and think "Who's this?", with no indication anywhere as to what it is except for the actual disc.

If you want something to appear, look this up on the Tube: Wz1W_omigwg
  3. That " = " sign...

YES ! Now it totally makes sense (for me!)

So, we live in a world where there are a lot of differences and everyone KNOWS that they are there (so there IS a line on the horizon)

But i can't stop thinking about One now : "We're one but not the same"

Actually we're all the same, we're all human and definately Bono is someone who knows that so maybe the band wants to let us know that by saying "Even if you're black and he's white or you're catholic, he's muslim, he's a man, she's a women... we're all the same and the Line On The Horizon is the place where different people meet each other, which is a shame because we shouldn't look at each other like very different but like our equals"

Well now that's just the explanation for me ofcourse
  4. just thought of that 'digital coefficient'. what if the cover is some kind of hologram? you know, you're looking at it, there still is this line on the horizon and the = sign, and suddenly it changes into the photo where there actually is no line on the horizon. that would be really badass
  5. On the bootlegs and song pages you can view the cover next to the other album-covers. It really is the black sheep of the family

I have to agree with you. And the new cover is far better than the bad photo from the last album cover.

U2 have had some album art that is not 'great'. (October, ATYCLB & ...Atomic Bomb spring to mind)

It is what is inside the album that counts. And October, ATYCLB and Atomic Bomb all had some great songs inside. And from the sound of things... NLOTH is full of great songs.
  9. maybe they're just being ironic with including the horizon...
