with those song titles which were possible then.
But now, I did another with the current songs:

    01. Moment Of Surrender
    02. Get On Your Boots
    03. Vertigo
    04. Beautiful Day
    05. The Unforgettable Fire
    06. Out Of Control
    07. Unknown Caller
    08. Original Of The Species
    09. Magnificent
    10. One
    11. A Sort Of Homecoming
    12. One Tree Hill
    13. Where The Streets Have No Name
    14. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    15. Stand Up Comedy
    Encore Break
    16. Mofo
    17. Discothéque
    18. Gone
    19. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
    Encore Break
    20. City Of Blinding Lights
    21. No Line On The Horizon
    22. With Or Without You
    23. Breathe

Now I'm finished my exams (I got an 'A' for everything!!! ), and I think this is the best from me now (I can't do it better).
This setlist will change if the song titles change.

    Aaaand ... ZOO BABY!

U2 would need a new singer to sing all of the above! Vertigo was too high, GOYB is too high - Bono is destroying is voice! He should manage himself a bit more, a bit like how he seemed to do during ZOO TV.
  4. *h*is voice ...
  5. After this week's events, I'd be surprised if Pride doesn't get a look in again this tour.

  6. Can't you just hear the speech "A few months ago we played this on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial where Dr King gave his speech."
  7. I'm not gonna create a full setlist until I've heard the album, but a few songs....

...I would love to hear played:
    1. Mofo (One of the greatest songs I've never heard in person)
    2. Even Better Than The Real Thing
    3. Please (Electric Version)
    4. Do You Feel Loved (A song a need to hear at a concert before I die, I know it won't happen but hey I can dream)
    5. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me

...I would like dropped from the normal set:
    1. Pride
    2. SBS
    3. BTBS
    4. I Still Haven't Found...(Love it, but they always play it)

    Honorary Mention

I would also love to hear Original of the Species, which I think I have a pretty good shot at. Both Vertigo shows I went to they didn't play it, it was kinda disappointing.
  8. It seems like the classical U2 songs are difficult to fit with the new songs from No Line On The Horizon. I have think of the possible tracks that should be able to bend in with the new songs like Get On Your Boots.

    1. Mofo
    2. I Will Follow
    3. Get On Your Boots
    4. Even Better Than The Real Thing
    5. I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight
    6. Baby Face
    7. Wih Or Without You
    8. Moment of Surrender
    9. New Years Day
    10. Stand Up Comedy
    11. Do You Feel Love
    12. Beautiful Day
    13. Cedars of Lebanon

    ENCORE

    14. Vertigo
    15. Magnificent
    16. Mysterious Ways
    17. The Fly
    18. Lemon
    19. One
    20. Breathe

    Does it sound great?

How do you know the new songs are difficult to fit, if you've never heard them? Or are you just judging on the titles? The songs from Achtung Baby were very different from the '80s music and had strange titles, but Zoo TV worked out pretty well, to say the least. If the difference between the new songs and the older one is comparable to the difference between AB and all the songs before, they can always pull a Zoo TV and play an opening set consisting of 6-8 songs with mere new tracks.
    1. Mofo
    2. I Will Follow
    3. Get On Your Boots
    4. Even Better Than The Real Thing
    5. I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight
    6. Baby Face
    7. Wih Or Without You

I love your setlist, especially the encore and DYFL. Although I think Mofo is the best opener ever and really hope to hear it on the coming tour, the chances of them opening with an old song are very slim. And that's not a bad thing, because opening with an old song implies lack of confidence in the new material, and it would seem if they were already returning to earlier tours at the very start of the concert, rather than starting of with a brand new one.

    Not to mention Pop aswell

I can't see them opening with anything BUT a new track - the days of Lovetown and before that are long gone...

  11. Absolutely, my fav U2 album and tour, but what I meant was that, while Pop was experimental in a difference and perhaps bigger way than Achtung Baby, the gap in musical sound was still bigger between '80s U2 - AB than AB/Zooropa - Pop. So with Zoo TV they kind of had to only use their latest songs in the opening (imagine MLK and TUF between The Fly and EBTTRT e.g, wouldn't have worked), but with PopMart they could blend the Pop songs with the Achtung Baby songs (plus also a very fast electro-ish version of I Will Follow which I love).

  12. Now i know this may sound silly and some of you may not believe me but a friend of mine works for the U2 crue and he tells me because he know i love the song Mofo that the band are in talks of what songs to play on the new tour and Mofo is in mind and looks like it will make a comeback!!!!!!!!!
