Again, I never said that. My issue is with the attitude of the reviewer, he's not so much critcising the album as he is attacking the band. He reminds me of some metal fans & headbangers I know, who insist that the Edge is crap because he has no 5 minute long solo's and doesn't play 500 notes a minute etc.

The publication is hardly one you would go to for music reviews either.
And you forgot to include his rating of the album:

If he gives that to U2 I wonder what he gives to Miley Cyrus.

Which headbanger and metal bands are you talking about?

He's damned good in his own right. Remember the very first demos - 72 second solo in Street Mission.

Exaggerating, a bit of course, but you know Metallica, Dragonforce etc., I don't listen to metal so I don't really know.

I don't think he's bad, but many do. That's the thing, U2 has always polarised opinion.

I think that rating is one a few reviewers would quite easily give the Pop album, and that has quite a following among us, so I'm not to worried
