  1. Hi all,

    This may be a bit naive... but: how and where to buy U2 tickets for the shows next Summer? I've always bought U2 tickets in Rome, but I'm not living in Rome anymore - any idea of where to buy tickets for the forthcoming U2 shows in the Sheffield/Manchester area?

  2. Well, you can't and should not buy any tickets until the tour is officially announced, U2.com will tell you where you can buy tickets then. This announcement will probably take another month to two months.

    U2 has a deal with Live Nation so it appears you can't buy tickets anywhere else than on livenation.com when the sale starts, it will not be sold in psychical offices or by phone.
  3. Bruce Springsteen is signed to Live Nation and his tickets sold through Ticketmaster (and their scalper subsidiaries).

    Not trying to upstage Remy's post or anything. I am just saying that there hasn't been a confirmation from U2 (Principle Management) or Live Nation that one can only get U2 tickets through Live Nation.

    True, but it's information closest to reliable and to be assumed at this moment.

    In the past the UK gigs have been announced with a few days notice. U2.com did a pre-sale but it's all in the air as to whether tht will happen or not.

    Also in prev years you could do Ticketmaster / ring up the actual stadium or line up, but as others have said, that may not be an option.

    I've always got to go since I've been able to. Just have to be patient. Elevation was a close call, I just got in on the 4th night about 2 minutes before it sold out.

  8. Im a member of Live Nation and when I clicked on Coldplay tickets, the link on Live Nation actually went through to ticketmaster.... are they linked in some way??



  9. Nothing wrong with signing up at Live Nation. Good to cover your bases. U2 are signed with them. But I respectfully disagree that it should be 'assumed' that they will only sell tix through Live Nation alone.

    Again, no disrespect to Remy or anyone. But there is an old adage about 'assumptions'. So maybe covering one's bases by signing up at Live Nation but keeping an open mind until official announcements is a better idea?

    does it matter though? I'm sure we will get prior notice about when and where we can buy tickets

    Absolutely agreed, but I don't get my hopes up too much. But I love to be surprised.
