I must agree with Gerard, Happy Birthday was quite good.
And do we forget his vocals on the final leg of Vertigo? Elevation sucked vocally and Bono is able to recover. It was the first performance of GOYB, don't blame him. They need to practice it.
And the vocals on the WAS-clip aren't bad either. It's a slow ballad, slowly sung. I think it fits with the mood.

Nothing has been added. I ripped the audio from chrismcmanus's HD video and mastered it properly, that's all. The audience may have responded to the mastering process, especially to decompressing the mid frequencies.
