1. By the way, what the hell is the song about?
  2. sounds like an infatuation with a girl, a girl offering salvation. I don't know. the title however implies a deeper meaning, more metaphysical than what apparently appears

i agree, but till now i didnt see any bouns version.
  4. Maybe they'll include a bonus track on the release in Israel.
  5. I like the vocals. I agree they're not standard U2, but I love them. Remind me of Morning Runner a bit. Just nice to know they're willing to change things about them. I don't think anyone would've taken much notice if the vocals were the same on nearly every song like the last 2 albums.

This is what the vocals remind me of
  6. this song is f***ing awesome, and this is only the b-side version!
can't wait to hear the album version!
    Loving it!

    1) It's speeded up. How hard is it to understand that really?

    2) No, but Boots feels like a 25-minute song compared to this. There you have a song that goes on forever.

  8. Firstly, are they going to speed up his singing live as well? And he still sings really high.

Secondly, the fact that GOYB is varied makes it more interesting that NLOTH2 which is repetitive and at 4 minutes starts to drag, if it was 3 mins 20 like GOYB it would be better.

Hopefully the album version has more of a buildup and isn't so repetitive.

Why/ how will they do that? I only mean that NLOTH2 is speeded up. The album version is not like that (too slow it seems in comparasion, me thinks).

For me, and I'm sure I'm not alone on this, GOYB seems much longer than it's acctually is. 3 minutes would have been more than enough. NOLTH2 is a much more fresch sounding song and is by far better. 4 minutes but feels like 2½.
    Boots 5.5/10
    NL2 7.5/10

Funnily enough, your thoughts and ratings are my thoughts exactly--except switched around for each song. Boots sounds fresher to me and too short; NLOTH 2 goes on a bit too long, and the melody and guitar riffs, which are great, get drowned in the drums.

I don't know, maybe I need to listen to it more, but I'm looking forward to hearing the album version.
    Boots: 7.5
    NLOTH2: 5.5
