1. I signed up for the livenation thing a couple months ago but haven't gotten any emails from them.... Should I be worried?

EDIT: I think I figured it out. Had no artists or venues listed under "my artists"

    I get e-mails
  3. It will be interesting to see how ticket sales are effected by the worldwide economic crisis. Die hards are still going to buy them but the casual fan probably could think of better ways to spend a hundred bucks than for a seat at a U2 gig. Thoughts?

No effect if you ask me. That bad bad crisis is too abstract yet.

Let's hope, more space for us
I don't think people will shorten themselves for going out.

  6. I don't think it will be a noticeable thing (empty areas all tour long) but I know that many/most people are cutting back on all incidental expenses here in the US, so I imagine that they probably won't sell out as fast. I could be wrong though. Here in the US, everyone knows that a change in the mindset of the consumer must be made, but most people think it has to start somewhere else (ie, not with themselves). Just my 2 cents.
  7. People here still spended way too much money on Christmas last year, so why wouldn't they buy tickets for U2? (Cause we all know that a U2 gig is better than christmas )

concerts will be immune I reckon and because U2 has such a huge fanbase they will never have a problem selling out

  9. speak for yourself, yeah. It's not at all abstract for some of us.

I have put aside money all last year for the tour but every day that I look at my account balance, I wonder if that money could be better spent, and if there won't be a day very soon when I'll have no choice. You must be lucky to feel so safe. Count your blessings.

It may affect me too. I had my heart set on doing not just Brisbane but Sydney and possibly Melbourne. With conditions the way they are right now, I might only have to settle for Brisbane.
