1. I love how our newspaper over here, already put it as its already clear it will be released lol
    Time will tell
  2. So, Songs of Ascent, according to ATU2

  3. Even it will take another 3-4 years I don't really care. NLOTH delivers enough for that period.

  4. Yep, I agree

  5. 2010 is still a year away. Hard to predict how they will feel towards the unused songs then.

They will most likely feel different than now. Their unused HTDAAB and NLOTH songs will most likely seem like old news to them. Until then they might have been writing some new riffs and lyric lines that they like but haven't finished.

So even if they start out in 2010 with a "let's clear out the cupboard" attitude, it might quickly turn into "let's rather work on that new and fresh stuff that we're into right now".

Just see how easily mercy got dropped. And that was one of the songs in serious consideration.

I say: Use the unpublished songs on b- sides. Release two or three additional songs on every upcoming NLOTH single. Thank you.

    Alex
  6. I would rather see a crazy album like Zooropa.
  7. Isn't this a thing that also started after the release of ATYCLB en HTDAAB that Bono was the one that told everyone that the next album will be out soon en that it didn't happened what he said.
That Bono said the next album will be called: ''Songs of Ascent'' could be true but if you look into the magazine of de deluxe version of NLOTH you'll see a picture of a whiteboard with on it: No Line On The Horizon, pilgrims lack of progress - house of ??? and than: SONGS OF ASCENT ( the album title that Bono mentioned)
And on the right side of it probably 2 songtitles: Velvet Heart and Thank You For The Day (We know that one from de beachclips from 2006)

So we got maybe already 4 songs that could be up there:

    Every Breaking Wave
    Tripoli
    Velvet Heart
    Thank You For The Day

  8. There are some photographs in de book from NLOTH with song names in it.
  9. Really enjoying NLOTH but still can enjoy adding more hype to this topic!

The house of ????? previously mentioned is almost certainly House of Abraham. Also if you look on one of the last pages in the book, the is the shot of The Edge sitting down with a guitar next to him with a list of songs above his head.

    From NLOTH is has
    - NLOTH
    - MOS
    - Magnificent
    - Cedars of Lebanon
    - Sexy Boots (Get On Your Boots)
    - Breathe
    - Hymn/White As Snow

    The other ones mentioned....
    - Tripoli
    - I Was Lost
    - For Your Love
    - Not As Yet
    - Diorama
    - Kingdom Of Your Love
    - Another one what starts with a 'C' and is two words but I can't make it out!

So it would seem that there certainly are more than enough songs!
