1. I'm freaking out a bit here. These dates are very few. I want them to come to NZ again. They sold out so quick here that they had to add another concert. God I want to go so bad!!
  2. Btw, is this a Live Nation thing??? They fucked up completely when they did Madonna last year, I hope it doesn't happen with U2.
  3. gwiz- thanks for your understanding...I am a bit bitter about the whole subscription thing- last time I got a subscription I didn't even get the "free gift" that was supposed to be sent out. I did get a GA ticket though, and I was at the arena the night before the show only to have my ticket scanned and be sent to the outside of the circle...I just don't want to waste $50 on a slim chance that I'll get decent tickets and two CDs of music that I already have.
  4. Appearently they changed the logo a bit:

  5. A bit of history from the Vertigo tour:

    U2 Ticket Presale Inflames Fans
    1.26.05 - groovevolt.com

Tickets for the North American and European legs of U2's forthcoming Vertigo tour were pre-sold to members of the band's fan club Tuesday morning (January 25); however, instead of looking forward to the kickoff of the tour in San Diego, California, thousands of fans are up in arms over the way in which the presale was conducted after being shut out and they have jammed U2 message boards to express their displeasure.

U2 fans who paid the band's fan club for a membership late last year were told that the membership would allow them to gain priority access to tickets, including the coveted low-priced General Admission tickets that proved so popular on the band's ...Elevation tour.

Though this is far from typical (a fact to which those who have dealt with Ticketmaster in the past can attest), the problems did not end when fans arrived successfully at a purchasing page. Those lucky enough to arrive at a purchasing page discovered quickly that the allotment of coveted GA seats was sold out (in less than one minute for most shows.)

    here we go again......
  6. This time they didn't guarantee tickets. With Vertigo they did. If I remember it right.
  7. I think you're over-reacting and panicking a bit too early, to be honest. By getting in on the presale, you're getting access to 1/10th of the tickets available to a show. Here in the US, that's between 5 and 6 thousand. Do you think 6,000 people are going to be using presale codes to get tickets to the exact same show you are? I think you'll be okay. Take a deep breath...
  8. so in short, even if you have a presale code, and have forked out $50.those who are in the boots category may not even get presale tickets???

surely they will have tickets if they have PAID for a presale, even if it is the last pick of tickets.

if you have paid for the presale.then you should 100%get tickets .

if i find that i cant get a presale ticket after paying $50.that would be it............

they cant guarantee you tickets just because you subscribed. They made the mistake of doing that last time. You have a better chance than non fanclub members to get tickets. If thats not worth your $50 then give general release a go next time
  10. 'so put on your headphones and experience U2 iin a whole new way'

Whats headphones got to do with the tour?
  11. what the heck? no philadelphia show? they go to NY and Washington but OT Philly? Anyone else from Philly a little pissed? I am extremely pissed. Is there a chance they will still announce shows?

  12. they mean the music they putted under the virtual preview of the stage. Get On Your Boots.
