1. Thats the magic of it

  2. Still haven't quite grasped the concept of musical taste and opinion have we?

  3. lol

I don't wanna be annoying or so, but it got a bit OT here
So to bring it back On-topic: I hope they play this in combination with Bad.
    I hope for: MOS-Bad-MLK-Streets
    Now that would be awesome

  4. I wasn't talking about musical taste, I was talking about artistic acheivement and merit.

    An analogy:

It's like saying the bucket of paint you spilt on your floor, is as much a piece of art as the Sistine Chapel or something is.

As Edison said: Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.

The crux of my earlier point was that Moment of Surrender could have been the epic it was touted has, if they had only spent more time on it and not been so indulgent as to record one take, declare it perfect and stick it on the record.

One take doesn't mean it didn't took them a long time
The mixing, getting Bono's voice right and the lyrics might have taken days
And I dunno know, but it makes me proud that U2 can play such a song in one take, shows some of their skills

Yes and as I said earlier, they took some creative risks with this album.

A few didn't work out IMO but most hit the spot. I will always applaud U2 for pushing the boundaries and creating new challenges for themselves.

Has one never heard of passion Monsieur?madam?

  8. It has merit. Who are you to say what a proper u2 song is?

  9. Come come, no anger
Love and peace (or else bastards )

Can we make this topic more about MoS again?
Great tune, can't wait to hear it live

What snippets would you guys like to hear in this song this tour?

Indeed, we're above this silly arguing, aren't we

Live is gonna be either amazing and mind blowing, or it will just fall apart. But earlier someone (Was it Aaron?) Mentioned Surrender would work, and I have to agree

    Yeah, Surrender would work indeed
    And what about Oasis' Wonderwall?
Or maybe 40 (a la Bad and Streets on the Elevation tour)
