1. Amen

I don't care if I have to watch a Blackberry commercial before a show, the prices a worth it lol.
  2. 85€ a GA ticket? Fuck all that "cheap tickets!" advertising.
  3. As everyone said, if tickets are cheaper, I'm all for it.

Although I wish my blackberry could get me an even bigger discount... lol
  4. Cheaper tickets my ass !

They'll only play 18times in Europe, you'd be happy if you HAVE some...
And if you want to have more chance.... Subscribe to U2.com for $ 50 !
Then it's still $ 80 for the cheapest ones

  5. $107 (according to XE.com) isn't terribly bad, nor all that great I guess lol. "Doable" hopefully lol
I have to look into the prices more though. For all I know it goes $35, $55, and $1000 lol
  6. Wasn't Blackberry one of the bootleg U2 remix CDs a few years back?
  7. From Alan Cross:

At a post-event schmooze-a-thon in Boston Wednesday night, I managed to corner Bono for a few seconds. What’s the deal with the BlackBerry sponsorship of the new tour?

Bono: I’m very excited about this. Research in Motion is going to give us what Apple wouldn’t: access to their labs and their people so we can do something really spectacular.

Me: I can see RIM coming up with a special U2 app that will allow you to be interactive with fans in a unique way during this upcoming tour.

Bono: [Pause]. You’re not far off.

  8. Maybe they'll provide some special features for the Blackberry users? I can imagine that...
A big message on the stage's screens: TURN ON YOUR BLACKBERRIES and all that stuff.
  9. I have been a U2 fan for almost 25 years and I couldn't care less if the tour is sponsored. What difference does it make? U2 have never sold out before and will never sell out in the future. The deal has obviously helped lower the ticket prices so what's the problem? Some fans are never happy. They complain about expensive prices, they complain about the album in 5 formats, etc Just don't buy the album and don't buy the tickets. I just don't care and am just fed up with all the whingers. I was totally against Larry's comments about some fans in 2005 but now I believe he was 100% correct!!!!
  10. It's just more evidence of U2 becoming a sucker of corporate cock. Pretty sure I won't be attending due to it. Look closer at Blackberry and how far they reach up the business chain - bet you at some point they're conglomerately involved in the pharmaceutical business and are helping to make sure that poor African people (among others) can't afford/get cheap HIV medication. Merely the tip of the iceberg, no doubt. Square that, Bono. They're in bed with Satan and it does them no favours at all.
