Then a barrier to the other GA people behind.....this is just my thoughts - I have no actual information, but would be very surprised for safety reasons if there was not a front barrier....

That was my understanding too. I definitely read that they were planning a random allocation thing again a la Elevation.

Cardiff has two Red sections as well, separate to the GA area (marked in red)
  2. but on this picture, there is place between red zones and stage... so this plan is not true?

  3. Yeah, I got the impression the reversed 'C' would be open for wrist-band admission.

    We'll see.
  4. We'll see indeed, Universal Holland now confirmed there were no wrist-bands this time though. But then again, things can change, especially with U2.
  5. Ill kick up a hell of a stink if GA's cannot get you up close. i'd consider selling all of my tickets and boycotting the gigs altogether. Letting only the rich people up front (if rumours are to be believed). Remember Live 8 and its Golden circle? Half empty while the real fans were crammed in a quarter of a mile back. The chart I used to purchase my tickets showed no funny red zones, just the field as all GA. If that ism't the case then fuck them.

Bear in mind that for the last 2 tours access to the closest areas has been a little bit of a lottery anyway. If that 'C' I'm on about is for normal GA it will still only be on a random basis. The closest punters will get I think is the walkway that is clearly forming their B-stage this time around. The 'Red' zones are clearly separate to that.

I'm sure there'll be more details but they've never let us down with this sort of stuff before.

If its a lottery its a lottery. Fair enough, but how they can't see a sense of fairness with first come, first serve sligtly baffles me. We shall see. Ill be so pissed off though if these red zones get you closest.
  8. I'm confused. (as is everyone) Should I try for red zone GAs if they're the same price as regular GAs? I thought that's what someone said.....

  9. Before everyone gets their panties in too much of a twist... and Larry has to do like the last tour and give you 'two words'...

1.) From what I heard, they are called (RED) Zone as in that extra money goes to the (RED) Campaign.

2.) Bono has said that there would be random upgrades - tickets that scan like they did during Vertigo, will go into the RED ZONE too.

How it all works in the end, time will tell but there seems to be a lot of accusations and shooting first before all the facts are out. U2 have never been about f*cking over the fans. So don't assume they will or will allow it now.
  10. it's not really about where the money for the ticket goes. good cause or not, it's just not fair that rich people can buy the place closest to the band, if that's correct.
