    Does SUC suck as many people say? I think not. It can be a bit cheesy, right, but I think it will kick our asses played live...

    Most U2-songs kick more ass live..even Boots has something live. Stand Up Comedy is a nice song but a filler for me. It could have been worse but also a lot better. The contrast between SUC at 7 and FEZ/Being Born at 8 is quite big.

    Live though, I believe Edge will give his guitar work some more rawness. Although I would prefer a good version of All Because Of You to rock out to. I like that song more and the Vertigo-versions weren't that good, I think.

    Well you can compare SUC with All Because Of You: started out as a very good idea, but sounds a little overproduced. That's why ABOY is one of the worst songs from the HTDAAB album, and that's why SUC is maybe the least good track on NLOTH. I prefer SUC, and I think it will be awesome live if Bono can reach the high notes... but GOYB is better as a album track imo.

    ABOY was one of the spare highlights for me from HTDAAB, together with Vertigo, COBL, SYCMIOYO, MD and OOTS. It is overproduced and I like the alternate version more, but it might kick ass live if they nail it. They haven't done that yet. SUC is in the same boat as Boots for me and it beats Boots with a margin, but I agree with you..It might be awesome. I actually wonder how much songs they will perform from NLOTH. But that's another topic.

    SUC is awesome, we'll hear it often live and thats a thumbs up for me

  10. I understand that, it just has a kind of a cool summer type feel for me. It's not one of the better tracks on the album, but that said i still like it. I'd be interested to hear it live, especially the guitar work, as has been mentioned

    and it's gonna be much better live. you will see.
    this song has been thought to be played live and it would be a big dissapoint if they wouldn't play it.
  12. Stand Up Comedy is just a great rock tune. And it's great but if you look at the album order of NLOTH you can see that the bit in de middle of IGCIIDGCT->GOYB-SUC is the commercial bit of the album.
    And I don't think you must compare SUC with ABOY is just a very different song on a different album and time.
