1. I wouldn't mind them dropping Pride, Bullet, One. It's hard to even imagine a U2 show without those songs though, three of their most played songs of all time. Also wouldn't mind giving the drop to elevation and seeing a bit less of Beautiful Day and Vertigo (probably won't happen)

I'd really like to see a revival of some of the lesser played Achtung tracks (Ultraviolet, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, Love is Blindness)
  2. I would be very surprised if Streets, One, BD & Vertigo are not played at every gig. After that pick & mix with all the usual oldies, some dusted off rareties and 8-9 NLOTH tracks.

Hearing Zooropa and Lemon live again would be fantastic (though i doubt Bono has the voice to pull off Lemon anymore, but maybe with NLOTH and MoS in the setlist he's vocal training)

I would also love them to do a proper version of Stay for once, not the stripped down, laid back acoustic form we always get, which rob the song of its atmosphere.

PS: I swear if they don't drop Pride from the regular setlist, it will show how out of touch they are (with fans and pop culture), theyve been flogging that dead horse on tours for way too long.

Elevation should also be ejected, seeing as GOYB is a very similar newer replacement.

    I can only agree
  4. I'm not really bothered - I'm happy to accept the fact that they'll most likely play Vertigo, Beautiful Day, One, Pride, Streets etc. because I've not yet seen them live so I'd like to be able to say I've seen said songs. It would be great if they mix up the setlists for the shows I'm going to (and indeed, for everyone) and include like personal favourites aswell as rarities, but who knows. I think every fan would say they'd want to see every song live, but obviously that's not possible unless you've been to a lot of bloody shows lol, but re. oldies, I'd love to see them perform anything to be honest - Streets, Pride, One, Vertigo, Beautiful Day, Elevation, Achtung/Zooropa era songs, dammit anything! As previously said, it would be awesome to be at a show where they throw in something from left-field like TUF, Ultra Violet, WGRYWH (!!!), 11 O'Clock etc. but if they play the old faithfuls from the list everyone knows, I wouldn't complain at all - just seeing them would more than compensate.

  5. Harry - nuff said. Top man.
  6. I think vertigo is to be expected, after the massachusett show
  7. Nice post Har.

As you said, no matter what they'll play, it will be a day to never forget for me. My first U2 gig.
Songs I'm dying to hear that gigs are: The Fly, Streets, Moment Of Surrender, Breathe, Ultraviolet...
  8. I have a feeling they'll stay away from the early days stuff, (maybe give us a song or two from war that hasn't been played for a while, seconds, two hearts) and they'll probably stay away from the AB tunes because they were played last tour. I'm hoping they play some UF, Zooropa and Pop stuff. I would DIE if they played Unforgettable Fire or Homecoming. Those are great tunes. Or something like, a full band version of Stay, or Dirty Day. The thing with U2 is they generally only pick songs that fit the theme of the tour, and the feeling of the new songs. Seeing as how there's a lot of atmpsheric and electronic sounds on NLOTH, I'm hoping they'll do some UF and Pop songs. Those would be cool to see.

Oh, so you are still a fan of this song? I was beginning to think you'd turned against it.
