    You're welcome

Well, I wasn't completely serious (make that: 'absolutely not' ), but yeah, now you meantion it...Might work in a live setting too
Altough Please might be a bit too serious and epic to put before Breathe....

Which makes breathe an appropriate escape

  3. True, but I'd rather see them building that feeling of Please out for a while longer
As in playing Streets, Walk On, Love Is Blindness or Bad
    EDIT: or TUF
  4. In A Little While
    Bullet The Blue Sky
    The Unforgettable Fire
    Exit
    City of Blinding Lights
    Two Hearts Beat As One
    The Fly
When I Look At The World
    Running To Stand Still
    Spanish Eyes
    Seconds
    Ultraviolet (Light My Way)
    Heartland
    Wild Honey
    The Ground Beneath Her Feet
    Yahweh
    The Three Sunrises
    The Hands That Built America
  5. Mark, I don't consider Breathe as a joyful song at all... It's not that opposed to Please in my opinion (OK, it's not about death and tears, right, but...) But I guess it's just different points of approaching, understanding and feeling the song

No, I wouldn't see it as happy either, true
But the music behind it sounds completely different to me...happier isn't the good word, just different
But yeah, it's a difference of approaching and feeling the tune

    Semi-agree then

On topic again, why did they release a (cappy, in my opinion) compilation of singles if they were preparing a new album? It doesn't make any sense, it's declaring "Oh, man, this is the best stuff of our career, enjoy it" and ten minutes later "Oh, yes, we're recording our real masterpiece, the best album we've done"... Non-sense methinks

  9. That
and to keep the fans satisfied, one album/EP per 2 years is pretty much U2's average...
And 2007 was pretty silent (except for 2 #1 hits here in Holland)
  10. Edge said it's just something to finish off a period with or something like that
  11. Ive done a list foillowing the U218 format. Now for my pick of U2s 18 best songs for a personal compilation
