1. I know the specs inside out and they are pretty much identical to my e71. I'm a huge symbian fan so was kind of weary about the touch implementation. Several firmware upgrades seem to have ironed out most kinks acoording to most reviews. I'll eBay a few less loved U2 items to raise the cash (don't want to sell the E71 to foot the bill).

The same here, we're moving all my family's telephone lines to Orange and they are giving us great phones for free... And I chose the Nokia 5800 (I've been told it's thousand times better than the iPhone)... I will have it in about 2 or 3 weeks

  3. People say a lot

But again, it depends on what you think a mobile should do.

  4. Out of the box the 5800 will do all that the iPhone will for half the price
  5. My Nokia's pretty outdated, I don't even know what model it is lol, suffice to say it's your archetypal 'brick' - texts and rings, 'tis good enough for me
  6. @ remy hence the phrase 'out of the box'. And the ovi store launches this month........

  7. it better be. Apparently the store is launching with 20,000 apps. Quality can't be predicted though because of the huge range of devices. Apples app store is very lucky that it only has to tailor to 2 devices

Yep but still not perfect, it denies a lot of applications. Like a newspaper application that gives you access to all kinds of newspapers.. And why? Because of the Sun page 3 girl..

Luckily there are a lot of alternate iPhone app stores like Cydia with great stuff.
  9. Talking about apps..I've been told Opera is a good browser so I installed the Symbian version 3 one. They told me it would work, but it doesn't..:S
  10. Got a Samsung j700i today, finally got a phone slightly more advanced than 'trusty old brick' lol. Got I Will Follow (Kobenhavn 2005) as my ringtone too, for the record
