How's everyone feeling going into the tour opener? It's only about less 4 weeks away now.

Are you more excited about this tour than the previous one?

I've got high hopes for this one - stage, new music, rediscovering old music, refashioning other songs, new tour venues and NEW BOOTLEGS!

    Tell me your thoughts!

I hope the bootleg of the first night surfaces fast.
The first u2 tour i've been a fan during, so i'm psyched.

same, I joined the party just as the Vertigo Tour was finishing.

can't wait, the Don Valley show's set to be the highlight of my summer.

same i was following the 5th leg on U2.com. that was so useless. haha they would post setlists all smashed together and no snippets and apparently wrong order so i was just like wow.
  4. I almost peed myself when I saw pics of the claw with the, oh crap, don't know if I'm giving anything away. Let's just say, the most recent pics of the stage setup made me really really excited. I'm dying to see/hear how they use the set-up creatively.
  5. I'm getting back in full U2-mood. Since the release of NLOTH, I listened to the album a lot but after several weeks, I had a U2-break (a bit). Listened to Kings of Leon and Coldplay a lot whilst U2 came along sometimes, but they are coming back rapidly. Listened to the Joshua Tree and Pop today (too bad Miami still sucks) and I can't wait for the 20th and 21th of July. Bring it on! I'm ready to sing my heart out, because I got a love you can't defeat

I support that post COMPLETELY (only change is that I got back in full U2-mood about two or three weeks ago).

    WE CAN BREATHE!!!!!!!!!
  7. I'm on my way back into U2 obsessive mode, the excitement is killing me

    Great post!

Ready to escape yourself and gravity!

  9. ha ha funny ...
for me its also back to 24/7 u2 now ...
waking up with like a song and drowning man for the last week ....
had some weeks of sonic youth feeding back all sorts of frequencies into my head ... and then it was time again for nloth ....
had to do some courier jobs ... nice to drive for 10 hrs, listen to achtung baby and pop and nloth very loud and get paid at the same time .... also, I dont mind the traffic jams ... singing along, in the midst of a lot of stressed folks wanting to go go go .... here is me .. singing along ...
now lets hope I did not go to fast at certain parts of the route ....

singalongwise ...refreshing myself of some of the lyrics ... had bought the remastered albums, going trough the liner notes etc ... and for some songs on the earlier albums, its actually funny to find out I have been singing completely different words for years ....

I am sooo excited allready .... one week from now I will board the plane for barcelona with my parents ...
I guess things will only be getting worse from now ..... ha ha ...
live is where we live ......
  10. After the album came out I was a little 'let down' (not much but a little) and didn't listen for awhile. Then the ticket hysteria happened - I wasn't even really listening to the new album but was OBSESSED with getting those tickets! After that, it's died out but yeah, now that the tour is actually starting it's a little frightening how often I'm listening to / looking at pics of / thinking about the band or on sites like this one. My family does not understand at all. *shrug*

  11. Mine doesn't either. But it's their loss. We are the lucky ones!

There's a while there where I had outplayed NLOTH. It was wearing very thin. But after about a month's break, I've been listening to it in the right doses. I'm primed for the big night next week and will be on the edge of my seat back here in Bris Vegas watching the setlist play out.

  12. Just browsing through this thread - having to keep an self imposed embargo from this site for the last 2 weeks to avoid seeing any reharsal stuff

Off to Barcelona tommorow for Tuesdays show - soooooooo impossibly excited - four years seems so long ago - just can imagine the opening of Streets and those shivers down my spine again.

Have a great time all those who will be there on Tuesday - let the madness commence
