1. The Unforgettable Fire..the title says it all
  2. I agree with the comment about singing Sunday Bloody Sunday like they did on the Elevation Tour...if they do that, I'll leave Chicago a very happy man...okay, regardless of how they play it, I'll leave Chicago a very happy man, whatever...anyway, lol, the video for "Walk On" was amazing!!

The update video from today sounds like it's an intro for NLOTH...which would be a sweet opener, too...oh, I just can't wait for this concert, even though I won't be there! This is slightly ridiculous...but at the same time, U2 is the best band ever, so completely justified.

Elevation gets ripped on quite a bit here, but I think if they do it right, then it can be quite a stellar song (still don't understand why it wasn't on Best of 1990-2000, though)...

Still hoping to hear that they've rehearsed In A Little While a bit more...I really want to hear it...haven't heard anything else about Angel of Harlem, which is fun...and I haven't heard anything about All I Want Is You...so the fact that that's not around plus MLK seems to have made a return before Streets more or less rules out Where The Streets... Slane Castle-style...oh well, I suppose I don't need my head to explode that night...but really, I'll take anything. I'm sure that we'll get to hear them from somewhere, if not from our respective concerts...

11 days! (and 85 days until the Chicago concert!)

:edit: No, the 80s were great...Streets? Please give us Streets and TUF, at least. (I wouldn't mind ISHFWILF, SBS, or Angel of Harlem, but that's just me, I suppose...)

Hey, at least they haven't rehearsed New Year's Day or Bullet The Blue Sky yet.

:edit #2: What about Stand Up Comedy? Has anyone heard anything about it?

You need to lock yerself into a darkened room and have a quiet word with yerself!

weak my arse I wish U2 would play these types of songs in a setlist.

  4. I want to hear how they do it live before I say anything about the song...it's not my favorite U2 recording ever...but it's not bad, I don't think...
  5. weaker than a weak lemon drink.....
  6. all of you are right. About how some of us are worried about what tunes the band will play including myself. I would really love to hear more of the 90's i think all of us would but it is a long tour and i can bet you that along the way the 90's will groove in. Bring back Tryin to throw your arms around the world!!!!!!!!!!! But serious you know the tour will be great the boys can play something at a sound check the night of a show and play it live and surprise us. So0o0 lets all stop worrying and just relaxxxxxxxxx. !!!!!!!!!!

  7. Well if they play it well i won't really care either.

BTW has anything been said about how MoS is going to be performed? eg. additional guitar parts etc?

And hasn't Drowning Man been performed live before?
With a bit of reworking it might be interesting live song it has a great instrumental side to it and nice atmosphere.

  8. My sentiments exactly, they could play ultraviolet and then play vertigo on loop for 2 hours and i would still leave satisfied

That's a beautiful opening sound. At 16 seconds on that clip, it has the sounds that you hear towards the end of the album version of No Line.

So I guess No Line is gonna be the opening song then (at least in Europe).

It also would fit well to Magnificent. Someone on u2-forum.de mixed it and it sounds great.

but thats TWO songs !! theres so many other great songs that have been neglected for years and YEARS and they choose to play Drowning Man?!!? i can think of 50 better songs that have not been played for years that are much better than Drowning Man!

and then there's all the songs that they have played to death over the last two tours that they could replace with equally as good or better songs that havn't been played for years!

doesnt make sense to me at all... i remember when they used to like to "keep it interesting" for themselves... sorry but so far what has been played doesn't really interest me at all apart from the 2 songs i already mentioned...

There must be a reason or a theme running through Drowning Man to why they have chosen this song, I don't think they have decided to play it for the sake of playing it. Good choice in my opinion
