Edge plays UTEOTW live with a capo on the third fret, doesn't he? Well, I have my guitar tuned standard, eBGDAE, and I play in tune to the song with capo on second!! Is his Les Paul tuned 1/2 step down (Eb) or what?? Because the song is in F#, not in G, I can swear that!

Just a bit of rambling, sorry and thanks in advance

By the way, I customized my guitar (something I thought I'd never do)...

  2. At the age of fourty most people stop using stickers on their guitars to express themselves. But as long as you enjoy it it's okay I guess. I have some stickers on my car.

My semi is a Chinese Gretsch copy. Yes, it's great fun to play around with it. I chose it because I can use it with or without an amp. No matter if I want to practice some riffing, soloing, fooling around or just play a children's song for my kids to sing along, it does the job.

On this pic you can see the guitar. This is my wife and me leading worship in church. A Drummer sits somewhere on the left, just outside the pic. There was also another female singer on that day.

  3. I never wanted express myself through stickers nor something similar, but when I saw that very simply U2 white vinyl I said... That will be on my guitar. Told and one, eBay, five of those vinyls for just 7 dollars (5 euro) so I'm very happy with it

Nice guitar it must be. Lovely semiacoustic
  4. Hey

I was just joking, therefore the . Maybe it was a bad joke, so I apologize. The simple white logo is indeed very tasteful, and if I had five of those I would surely find a way to use them - not on my guitar, but very likely on the guitar case. Don't take every one of my words too seriously. I had stickers on a guitar once, too.

BTW, a Fat Strat is soundwise an extremely versatile and shapewise an extremely convenient instrument. I prefer floating two- point vibrato to six- point, too. Congrats. Hope it sounds good.

  6. It might seem weird... but I forgot to mention that I photoshopped that cheapo guitar onto our latest album cover. The pic was taken with the original pickups still mounted, before I installed the GFS Retrotron Liverpools. The guitar itself is only featured on two intros though, all the rest is Les Paul and Strat. But I like the looks of it:

Very nice, Sergio. One of my fenders is completely covered in stickers. I'll have to post a pic sometime...

  9. I'm pretty sure on the ZooTV tour, and perhaps the Popmart tour, i haven't checked, it was half a step down with the capo on the third. But during elevation, (and probably vertigo tours) it was standard tuning with a capo on third.

Yep - Elevaton and Vertigo were in standard (E) tuning.
  11. OK, thanks Alex and Jeff. As I supposed, Zoo TV had a flat E tuning. Thanks a lot
