1. I thought the first night was the best yet in regards to One and Ultra Violet.

    7. Desire / Billie Jean (snippet) / Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (snippet)
    11. The Unforgettable Fire
    12. City Of Blinding Lights
    17. MLK
    18. Walk On / You'll Never Walk Alone (snippet)
    21. Ultra Violet (Light My Way)

As long as the rest of the tour has one of those songs each show, then it's gotta be good (snippets aren't bad either). But has Bono forgotten what he used to say at the beginning of The Unforgettable Fire? If only he said that then the first note starts up when he says 'Fire', imagine it.

I see also tonight for the 11th is Kasier Chefs - hopefully they're a better support act. Looking forward to seeing any changes in the show then.

  2. I agree that Breathe isn't the best opener but I'm fine with Vertigo. The crowds seem to love it too.

Id rather see Snow Patrol as a lone support. They really were that good. I do look forward to Glasvegas though

  4. Glasvegas should be good. But what's this about the Black Eyed Peas? It's like Kanye all over again...

I've only ever heard that one song by Snow Patrol and I can't say I liked it - too slow and bland. But maybe they are better live. Who knows.

Drop Breathe and Vertigo. And bring in Levitate.

I really thought they would make a right mess of Electrical Storm, but it's come out nicely, and it was even better not to have played it for seven years, because the vocals are much better on it than they could have ever been on Vertigo.

I hope they start ending again with ''40''.

That's what I thought too, but I couldn't believe when I heard them in Milan, they're REALLY good, full of energy, they rocked!

The performance I'm remembering is one where they're in a studio and it sounded pre-recorded. I can't stand playback or lip-syncing.

The worst part was the guy was standing dead still.

see them if you get the chance. U2 have used playback before during studio performances

They don't use playback on these U2 shows, I'm sure. You can't jump around stage as crazy and talk in the middle of songs and use playback.

I wouldn't think so and sure wouldn't hope so. But they do sound like a good band, from what people have told me - and you lot as well.

  10. Yeah, I agree about the whole ending with '40' bit...I'd really like to see that. They can play Moment of Surrender right before '40' and just do one extra song. I don't think they'd need to rehearse it all that much.

We didn't think they'd need much rehearsing on One.

Why not take out Moment of Surrender and put 40 there instead?
  12. Overall, can't complian too much about the setlist. Certainly there are some personal favorites I'd like to see, but they can't make everyone happy. Here are some thoughts:

WOWY is one of my favorite songs of all time, but I agree it sounds a bit tired on this tour. I'd like to see them keep it but do something to refresh it.

Some Pop would be great. I think Mofo, LNOE, Please. IGWSHA would actually fit pretty well with this tour as well.

Drowning Man, they tease. I hope they play it.

    Finally request...Acrobat!
