1. For me, it's not so bad. The best surprise was Sunday Bloody Sunday. It's interesting, fast and short again, not like in some Elevation shows, and all of Vertigo shows where this song was almost 8 minutes and so boring. But they have to play No Line On The Horizon first, and then Breathe, put Vertigo to the encore, after Ultra Violet (Light My Way), with a rocking segue, and Bono must learn to sing during With Or Without You. I don't like the Crazy Tonight remix, play Discothéque instead of it. And for God's sake where is Shine Like Stars and Here Us Coming Lord?

That's my opinion but if the set don't change I will be satisfied anyway.
  2. I see from your other posts you have not seen the boys live yet??

Trust me, ISHFWILF is wthout doubt one of their best live songs, utterly brilliant! I will demand a refund if it is not played in Cardiff/Hampden! Of all their classic songs, it still sounds brilliant, the stripped back version is mega!

  3. Pointless I tried, he just dosent get it
  4. I would love to send the band a setlist i made! Lol. it wouldnt even be THAT hard for them to pull off.

    1. No Line On The Horizon
    2. Get On Your Boots
    3. Magnificent
    4. Breathe
    5. Beautiful Day
    6. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    7. Drowning Man
    8. Mysterious Ways
    9. Electrical Storm
    10. Unknown Caller
    11. The Unforgettable Fire
    12. Vertigo
    13. City of Blinding Lights
    14. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (Remix)
    15. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    16. Pride (In the Name of Love)
    17. MLK
    18. Where the Streets Have No Name
    19. Ultraviolet (Light My Way)
    20. Walk On

    21. Bad
    22. Discotheque
    23. With or Without You
    24. Moment of Surrender

or the encore would be like :

    18. Bad
    19. City Of Blinding Lights
    20. Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own
    21. Ultraviolet (Light My Way)
    22. With or Without You
    23. Moment of Surrender

and the middle section could totally be :

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    A Sort of Homecoming
    I Will Follow
    Mysterious Ways
    Unknown Caller

Yeah i have too much time on my hands.
  5. I'm wondering if they are hesitant to switch up the set because of the way they messed up One during the first gig. Maybe they're playing it safe with the set to avoid any further disappointments/screw ups

Im not sure thats the reason, One was a technical screw up with the earpiece or w.e. haha i think its still kinda early. we will find out 2mrw at Paris 2 tho.
  7. I can understand that people want more changes to the setlist, but I simply don't think this will happen apart from the 1 or 2 song changes we have been seeing. It's all very well people saying the band should play this or play that, but maybe the band don't play the songs that people are mentioning because they don't want to, or they don't feel they fit in with the flow or the theme of the tour. U2 have never been an advocate of changing setlists and when they did do this on the Lovetown Tour they have since admitted that this concept did not really work.
Everybody has their favourite song that they want the band to play and complain about songs like Pride and Sunday Bloody Sunday, but out of 100,000 fans in a stadium I can guess that there will be more people in the stadium that want to see such songs rather than fans who want to see Acrobat. Internet coverage of the band and their setlists means the element of surprise form setlists is gone and the many Bootlegs available means people (including myself) do get bored of hearing Pride, WOWY and SBS, but that is because we are constantly listening to them. The average person attending these shows possibly will not have a collection of 1000 Bootlegs to trawl through and comes alive during the songs we think should be dropped. As for playing more rare songs as other posters have said, the band has brought back UF, UV played Electrical Storm and as far as we know may introduce some other gems from their catalogue. Lets remember we have only had 6 shows and there is time to implement a few more changes, but I see the setlist remaining similar for the foreseeable future unless they bring out a new album and incorporate some of those songs into the set as they did with Zooropa.

  8. only my opinion

    1. Glade to see bullet gone
    2. Love unforgetable fire/ Angel of / Desire/ Ultraviolet
    3. I would take out city/blinding lights & unknown caller replace with one pre Achtung & one post
    4. No problem with the beginning kind of expected something like that
    5. On any given night take out 2 or 3 of the following
    Still haven't found / Pride / One / With or / Sunday / Streets
I know the classics....but the casual fan still hears some classics
The core fans could get a nice mix of
Sweetest things / Kite / Hold me thrill me / Wild horses (find away to play it) / Red Hill
Sort of a homecoming / Electric Co.(loved it since 8th grade in 84) / Out ofControl or many others
    6. Hoping for a nice mix 1st night in Boston and the 2nd night in New York

  9. Bono sang the Hear Us Coming Lord part on the 11th.
  10. I feel really disappointed that after all the rehearsing they mad in Barcelona Drowning Man hasn't been played live.
It's like "hey, let's rehearse a lot this song we haven't played at all before, and when the big night comes let's just forget about it, lulz, those people will be so disappointed"

    Agreed!

Maybe they don't feel comfortable playing it or they have to practice more, but I think they should play it sometimes.
