1. New rule: don't post shows that aren't in the first leg.
  2. I think New York is a very good guess, we know the band loves New York, and there has never been a dvd release from there. I'd still prefer a European show though
  3. Maybe one of the shows in London?
A great venue and (hopefully) great atmosphere.
  4. Wow guys im telling you its gonna be Los Angeles,Ca since it is the bigget show of the united state with more than 100,000 people attending a slod out show. Including me, so if its going to be a north maerican dvd it will be Los Angeles, if its a european dvd its going to be the webley stadium. At vertigo, the crowds were loud as hell in os angeles by the way.
  5. I think hopefully they will release Berlin 18.07.2009.

    There are many reasons:

    1. U2 loves Berlin.
    2. They wrote songs and recorded the "Achtung Baby" in Berlin.
    3. They dedicated one or two songs in this concert to that city.
    4. Nelson Mandela had his birthday on that day. And everybody sing for him

    And the best reason:

    5. I WAS AT THIS SHOW !!

I don't want another American Show like Chicago 2006 ans Boston 2001 (and of course Mexico 1997). ZooTV was in Sydney. Thats not Europe.

The Paris DVD on the "Joshua Tree"-ExtraDVD is for me a bonus, but not a "official release". Not many people noticed that the "Joshua Tree" was re-released.

I hope it will be a Show from the first leg. And I think Berlin would be great. 90.000 Fans and a great show.

    6. It wasn't filmed.
  7. I'm pretty sure everyone can think of decent reasons as to why every venue could be filmed, but chances are Wembley is gonna be high up the list or one of the big venues. I just hope there's not another US DVD...

  8. Alright.

Slane, there is a reason it was only released by way of a petition, and I sure as hell didn't sign it. I really don't want to see those crap closeups of Bono, surely staying five meters away (since it's a pro-shot) would have sufficed. Whoever did the audio mix needs shot or kicked in the teeth because it's way too harsh and lacks any kind of anything to it. And don't bother with the 5.1 soundtrack - you want bad, that is worse than bad.

We get a non-existent setlist with the obvious two nights in it and just generally it bored the life out of me - The Fly, Wild Horses - where are you? I enjoyed All That You Can't Leave Behind - well, the second-half anyway - but the two concert films released were at times worse than a crap bootleg video. Hamish Hamilton can't direct for monkey's balls, he needs to stick to that MTV generic shit.

Why Mysterious Ways was even included with his daughter, as cute as people thought it was, is cringeworthy at best.

Hamish Hamilton needs a good lesson on how to direct from a bootlegger. And he's full of himself and has more ego than Bono and Paul McGuinness put together. Have you seen that camera-room feature on the Boston video? Talk about being so far up your own arse and so full of yourself that you can't see what's behind you.

The worst decision since the NLOTH singles.
  9. new york new york i will be at both shows
  10. thinking of how big and amazing this tour is it deserves something like an amazing box!
dvd 1 - wembley (the perfect situation - 2 nights, huge and good stadium, crazy crowd, not so early)
dvd 2 - new york (the band loves the city and nothing in the way)
dvd 3 - brazil (fans are crazy, argentina has already been done and i don´t think chile id adequate)
dvd 4 - hawai (always good shows)
dvd 5 - south africa (thy like africa and could be this charity thing)
dvd 6 - special songs with peopl on stage, rare, etc....
each dvd with the standard setlist of the leg, each leg they change and imagine songs of ascent will be released halfway through...the box would be released for xmas 2010...would be cool....this is probably their last huge tour...after this they´ll have to scale it down like elevation...might even release only one more album and a goodbye tour....~
    it´s good to dream lol

I agree!! I love slane NOW. but... it was the last DVD i got because the setlist looked boring as fuck. -_- i remember that video from Boston where hamilton thinks he is all amazing and shit. Lol. boring middle Stuck - I Will Follow and Stay isnt even from that night!!!

I only really fell in love with Slane after watching it over and over again one summer because i was bored. Lol. whoever directed ZooTV or JT Paris needs to come back ASAP.
  12. I'll never understand how you can not love Slane.

I don't buy the DVD because of the setlist. I don't even know what they're playing on most of their DVD's. I want the whole live experience, as good as it gets on a DVD. European shows are always better, Milan rocks, so does Slane. We need more of that. Hopefully, Wembley will be filmed.
