1. We're still not any wiser here ay?

  2. At least we know it wont be Amsterdam.
They would never film an indoor concert with this stage. Would be a shame.

  3. very doubtful as the sound is so bad in the amsterdam arena; why would you pick the venue with the most appalling sound. I hope they film Zagreb or Chorzow - the eastern eurpoean fans are amazing.

lol I wasnt serious. Sound wouldnt be the problem either, sound is recorded from the soundboard so... Only problem of the arena is the closed roof, so no Amsterdam DVD.
  5. i still think it will be london wembley, just to the fact that most shows opened at what 7pm? and the doors at wembley open at like 4 or 5 with 3 support acts. to me that sounds like creating a big build up so the audience is all pysched up ready to film the dvd.

london wembley night one that is, the one i will be at

It might well be Wembley. Maybe U2 won't be like other bands and do a Wembley DVD gig. They usually film two or three months into a tour, so wherever U2 are in two or three months, then that's a high possibility it's gonna be the filming.

I just hope it's some European venue because the crowds are nuts there - not North America again. In Chicago they seemed bored to death and same for the Boston show too. What if they're saving the DVD for Australia? That's just my dream, but because they did Sydney already it might be seen as 'been there done that'.

But if the BTDT theory was considered, then Pride wouldn't have been played this much.
  7. I think that London is a shoe in for any DVD. Filmed over two nights they'll have dome some Pro shot stuff in the lead up shows, including Amsterdam and Dublin which is why I think that there were so many changes in the set list over the 2 nights in Amsterdam and the same will happen again in Dublin.
I also think that they'll close the roof for the London shows so that they can control the light better for editing the DVD across the 2 nights.

There is no roof at Wembley.

But agree from the 1st leg shows it is the obvious choice - brand spanking new stadium, 100,000, also will be very technically advanced in the tv/broadcast facilities and vantage points.

They''ll have two nights of practice, but if it's sliced together to make a non-existant setlist and having shitty quick-cut shots and panning, I'll be pissed. The post-2000 DVDs suck (I've made a good point of it many times), and hopefully they don't ruin a killer show with a crap edit.

I bet Bono chose Hamish Hamilton.

  10. Hamish makes nice closeup shots of Bono's mouth

Apart from that, he's rather crap.

But I love the Live in Milan "DVD" from 2005, shame it wasn't a proper concert dvd, I think it's one of their best. And Slane.

    I prefer miss Owens though
