1. U2 have the best shows, but

Springsteen and Pearl Jam are no. 2 and 3 best live artist ever,

    best ever is Big Country!

Has anyone seen these heroes live? check youtube for some Barrowlands footage

the claw is ridiculous in my opinion, and that talk about the reason to built it is to get closer to the crowd is just bullshit.. i feel like the reason behind it is something like they saying "WE CAN DO IT".. this current stage is just as excentric as that one on Popmart tour, if not worse!

they've had the perfect stage at the Elevation tour.. i quite miss it to be honest (was watching the Boston and Slane dvds yesterday) and even the stage from the Vertigo tour was better than the claw

In my opinion the last two tours were safe and standard-rock, just like the albums and the stages.

This new stage harks back to the nineties with a bit of risk taking, a huge amount of 'fucking-well-look-at-us' and more futuristic. Lovely.

I'd have loved to have seen them on any of the last tours, but as it is I'm pretty happy with the Claw - pretty off-the-wall and mindblowing. Just the job for me. Best live act I've ever seen, by the by. Runrig would be the next best I've ever seen, but U2 took the biscuit on Friday night and that's not bias or a knee-jerk reaction, I've never experienced anything quite like it before.

i'm sure the claw must be something quite impressive to see/watch
but it kinda takes off the focus on the music

i'm pretty excited to see them live here in south america next year
but the claw is something 100% unnecessary in my opinion.. but i do respect the people who likes it
  5. Pearl Jam. Who else can put on a 3 hour concert, with a diffrent setlist every night, tons of jamming, and whatever cover they feel like doing at that moment?

It doesn't, when you're on GA and close to the stage, you don't even notice the Claw, it's seems so natural.

If you're on GA but far away from stage, you're not in position not to see anything, you see the screen and lightshow clearly.

So I think Claw is the first stage in stadium r'n'r history that really really works.

    Springsteen can.

    Except Pearl Jam suck.
  9. Pearl Jam Rotterdam August 13th vs Pearl Jam August Berlin 15th.

    Different songs: 17

    I repeat:

    17!

That is a quality of a band to be able to change a setlist so dramatically, whether the songs are shite or not.

    Springsteen can do this too.

U2 cannot, but that isn't an issue since their songs are individual masterpieces

what about those who are behind the stage? they probably have the worst concert of their lives

  11. From what I've heard from people that attended Zagreb shows, they were impressed. (speaking of seats)

U2 just doesn't want to make a giant light show for each song. Pearl Jam can do what they want on stage. With U2, every second is on paper.
    do you get it?

    sorry for my english
