1. Wasn't as good as my Dublin#1 gig, they started great but then the predictable setlist kicked in.

I actually like the crazy remix the more I hear it,gotta say the walk on cock-up was abit surreal as we were all wavin our arms in the pit to stop it and the band were completely oblivious to what was goin on,but hey most of us carried the song on,a pity about the boos in my opinion.

anyway that aside i enjoyed it and You'll never walk alone was sung with an extra verse and for me as a liverpool fan it was a highlight of the night.

will post some pics tomorrow and I have a full version of unknown caller to upload as well.

    plus the boot of course!

And it's Cardiff on saturday with NY2 to come.
  2. Hello, another recording at U2torrents.

2009-08-18 - Glasgow - "Sing for your Sanity Glasgow!"

    Taper- MD
Position- about 100 - 150 ft from stage dead centre, facing Bono.
Rig- SP-PASM-2 (0 gain and knob set to 10 o'clock) -> NJB3 -> USB -> PC -> Cool edit Pro -> Amplitude and fades -> CD wav editor- FLAC level 8.
Title- "Sing for your Sanity Glasgow!"

    Info:
A terriffic show, appreciated by the band and audience. This was my first time with this rig so it was taking a real chance. The only problem I had was that it was recorded a bit too quietly.

The wav file as a whole was boosted by 26.67 db with a -2 db peak, any more may have ruined the sound. There is a random frequency analysis from Trk 18 included. If you do not like your audio boosted, please dont waste your time downloading it. Nothing else was done to the files apart from the fades and the splits.

** Point of note. There was a sound failure during Walk on. This develops during MLK and then the sound drops out for 1 minute during Walk on. This was nothing to do with me, the whole stadium sound just disappeared!

The singing was fantastic and the crowd were pretty decent (it can get a bit hairy when everyone has too much alcohol, blonde girl please take note!!)

  3. MLK and Walk On are hilarious on this bootleg.
  4. On the subject of leaving early - I walked to the back of the pitch and up the stairs during Moment Of Surrender. I did not fancy risking getting caught up in big queues at Mount Florida station so was happy to miss one track that is not favourite of mine.
Will stay for all of the gig tonight , no transport issues for me tonight .
  5. Hi All,

1st time posting but been a member of U2Start for a while (nice to be here!) and been a fan of U2 for 20 years or so.
Ive been reading some peoples comments on the forums and had my eyes opened so thought i would leave my comments and feelings about the gig.
Was at the gig on Tuesday and stood 2 rows on outer circle, this is my 4th U2 gig and have to say was by far the best gig i have ever seen in my life. Ive seen some big acts in my 30 years but nothing tops this.
The stage was amazing and it will never be beaten for sheer size and tingly feeling when walking out onto the pitch.
The sound was 1st class, crystal clear so hats off to U2 and all those that work behind the scenes. (The Walk On moment was a minor fault so let it go and sing louder next time and don't boo or whistle!)
The atmosphere, well what an atmosphere! Were from Newcastle and we always chose Scotland because the fans always seem up for a good night and boy they didn't let us down.
Im rambling on now so i'll just leave you with some of the highlights of the Glasgow gig

    - Walking out onto the pitch and seeing 'The Claw'
    - New songs sound awesome and brilliant start to a gig kicking off with Breathe, No Line On The Horizon.....well the Whole setlist but especially Ultraviolet.......Baby, baby, baby!!!
    - My partners best moment of the night was the I'll Go Crazy remix which i am fastly becoming a fan of.

Anyhoo ive got some pics which i'll put on if anybody would like to see them.

    Thanks
  6. Was there and agree they should drop pride,Sunday etc. as we've heard them all before and be more adventurous.(although they could throw in bad)
As for the Boos, why not?I paid a lot of money£150 for my seat and i expect not to have to be a guinea pig for any faults to be sorted pre their American gigs?

All said having seen U2 a few times starting with Joshua tree at Wembley i would give the gig 7/10.
Ps Bono sung their new songs superbly.
  7. Queen's Park's game yesterday was cancelled. Looks like U2 ruined the pitch.

  8. Ha, they want concrete like Cardiff
  9. Walk On is just missing You'll Never Walk Alone snippet in setlist on bootleg page.
