1. No, on Elevation Tour leg I and II it wasn't played a few times...

    So now WOWY out...
  2. Adding Your Blue Room, putting One before Streets with Amazing Grace to segue it, playing UTEOTW and Stay between UC and TUF and skippin Pride...comes close to the perfect show in my book.
  3. First Aud. Recording of the 2nd night at Dime...

    U2 @ Soldier Field, Chicago, Il. Sept 13, 2009

    Source: Audio Technica AT-899 omnis => Edirol R-09 @ 24-bit
    Transfer: R-09 => WAV => Audition => dither to 16-bit wav => Magix Audio Cleaning Lab => WAV => FLAC (level 8)

    Location: Stage right, ~50 back (right behind red zone, on the rail in line with overhead stack)

    Comments from the Taper:

    The recording is better than night 1 for some reason, though I was standing in almost the same location. I was able to get there earlier and grabbed a spot on the rail, so I was in line with the overhead speakers with nobody in front of me for about 20 feet -- perfect. There may be occasional clapping from the woman next to me, but I heard no crowd interference in the hour I've listened to so far.

  4. Nice..and with Edirol equipment. I'm not into recording but I once read it's good stuff.

  5. About Drowning Man, wouldn't this flow lovely into SBS, especially with this harmonica sound in the end of DM and begin of SBS. Then it certainly wouldn't kill the mood.

    By the way, how was Tutu in Chicago?
  6. second night recording sounds good. A little cold and lacking atmosphere but sounds a decent 3.5-4 stars
  7. chicago soldier field 9-13-09, my first U2 show after 22 years, being a fan since JT. and i and our merry group are back home in central indiana, 6:00am EDT. indeed, this concert ranks among the two best hours of my life. we are so blessed and lucky to have artists and performers like U2 who genuinely seek to lift people up with their work, and to share it in a "temporary community" like a U2 show. i'll never forget the power and volume of people singing ISHFWILF and Amazing Grace at the top of their lungs.... well done, everyone !!!
