1. I was 13 or something like that and I heard "Peace On Earth" and I thought how brilliant song it was, touched me in a way music never did in my life. Then I heard whole ATYCLB and that was beginning of my great love for them.
  2. I was 12 i think. I was in my brothers Room (1984). I found there a LP called "U2 - The War". I did not know, what is U2. I heard first "Drowning Man" i don't know why. But it was so great, that i heard the entire album then. And since that i'm U2Freak

    Hope, you understand.
  3. my first casual listen was Beautiful Day when I was about 10. I loved the optimism, the melody and the great video. (Bono on the conveyer belt, anyone?)

then I heard WOWY and it really struck a chord with me emotionally. my dad was telling me about this "band he loved when he was younger" at this point, which of course was U2.

I then got 1990-2000 and HTDAAB a few years later when I was about 12, got AB when for Christmas '07 and the rest is history.
  4. Think i've said before, but Desire single made me aware of U2 and then WGRYWH led to AB purchase and here we are
  5. the mother offered to take me to Slane in 01. I laughed and said no. Started listening to the first 3 songs of the Joshua Tree. . . .then Achtung then. . . . .

  7. It was my 10th birthday an I got Achtung Baby cassette...
  8. sorry im new im still trying to find my way around here.
