1. I much prefer 'Stay' when its played acoustic, was one of the highlights in Cardiff!

  2. I can't say I prefer it fullband or acoustic, I just love the song in every single performance they come up with. Zoo ones were class, Elevation ones were fantastic and this tour they are nailing it too

  3. I think the full band version is much, much better. I love Zooropa, and to have the only song played from it be stripped down to kind of a toss-off song, it's disappointing. Just compare the full band version of Stay on the Zoo TV tour vs. the acoustic, and it feels neutered. When the bass and drums come in on "red light / grey morning" it just clicks the song together much, much better.

Though don't get me wrong - I'd much rather have them play Stay - even acoustic- over Stuck in a Moment, Desire, or their other recent acoustic go-to's.

Too bad they seem to have ditched their best acoustic song ever.

In A Little While that is

  5. Indeed, must say Bono's vocals surprised on this song. Better than Vertigo tour by a mile and a half

  6. I agree...the acoustic version is amazing...

I was at the Cardiff show too...and it certainly was a highlight. The experience there was amazing...everyone was singing along with such love and happiness. It's something not to be forgotten...

I agree with every word of this.

Hope those going tonight get a great show.

  8. Absolutely - stunning performance in Amsterdam

Ehhh.. shame on you. A Streets intro can never ever be too long.

    Long live RTSS _Streets

I said that I can't CHOOSE between both forms. Both are great for me, both have their own meanings. Fullband is one of their best songs, no doubt, I completely love when Larry comes in at second verse, and the climax at "with the demons you drowned, staaaaay and the night would be enough" is completely awesome... But performed acousticly is great also in my opinion, it has a deep intimate feeling that can barely be matched... Maybe only by So Cruel and Mothers Of The Disappeared, that's it.
  11. Even the full band version from ZooTV, pales compared to the album version.

Live it just doesn't have the same atmosphere and you lose that fantastic beat and the watery guitar parts during the chorus.
