  1. Best topic in a while.
    My friend said this, on a DVD it looks like that, on the boot it sounds like this.

    Travel to a few U2 gigs in Europe, some in the US, a bunch in Oceania + South America and try to discuss again, guys.

I have seen the band up and down the eastern coast of America.NYC,NJ,Albany,Hartford,Boston,Foxboro,Philadelphia.I guess that is like seeing the band in Ireland,Scotland,Wales and England.Our States have different laws in each State.I know its not at all the same as going to different countries,but thats the best I can do.
  4. I can only say something about the 2 Amsterdam gigs last summer and the people in my section jumped and danced the whole show. Fantastic atmosphere. I can only judge other public from the DVD's I have seen. Slane is fantastic and also Milan. Indeed Chicago and Boston look more lame to me, but that is the impression from the DVD. I would love to see a DVD from this tour in South America, Rio or even better Buenos Aires. If you have seen the DVD from the Stones on the Copa Cobana or the small part on the compelation DVD 4 from the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires you will understand why. So much energy, Fantastic

    I just said what my friend felt like. I'm not saying all the people in the crowd were a bad audience, but if there was almost no-one else around him singing and jumping throughout the show, I guess the audience as a whole was a bit lame, wasn't it?

    Furthermore: 1. You insulted me. Just to translate your sentence: ''You're a stupid kid.''. I can get over that. Look, Mr. I'm-always-right, I don't mean to fight with you. You can have your own opinion and I'm perfectly fine with that. You think the younger ones can't say anything good on the topic.? What do I care, that's your problem. 2. You insulted my friend and I'm not OK with that. He attended two shows so if he thinks the crowd was not great, he's probably right because the opinion is based on his experience and not on watching a DVD, whatever. Insulting people for having their own opinion is not very wise. I'm ''only'' 15 and can say that. Surprise surprise.
  6. I've seen them in the US and saw them in Dublin in July....and I have no idea what the people around me where doing (on the outer rail). I was just focused on the spectacle in front of me. They could have been sitting down and I don't think it would have changed my perception of that first night.

  8. I will say that I think that this topic is a testament to the....erm...."die-hardness" of U2 fans. We diehards are obsessed, and tend to think think the band is worthy of the kind of passion that we have from everyone. When we hear that people aren't jumping and screaming the whole show like we probably were, then we think they're not a good (or worthy) audience. I say just enjoy the show yourself and stop worrying about if the people around you are enjoying it as much as you are.

    Anyway, let's keep it friendly..whether comments should be taken as funny or not. Juraj knows what he's saying and the fact that he is 15 doesn't change that.
