US was still leaning towards joining against Germany to help UK at some point but who knows when that would have happened. If pearl Harbor never happens who knows what happens in europe

You're right, but Mark meant the reason why they joined the war in Europe..not the war in its total. Like all thing in history it's a combination of facts that made things like they were. If there was no treaty of Versailles, there might not have been a second world war..

God bless the Treaty of Versailles, I have to say. It led to the Treaty of Trianon.

  3. All right that wasn't the best choice of words of course...We would never feel real liberated if the reds conquered all Europe

  4. Yep, I don't like Liverpool either.

  5. And to the Dolchstosslegende

  6. You could never know that. I dont believe thats true. There was no way Germany could keep their borders for that long. Anyway its ancient history. Also the meddling is not the worst part, its USA's selectivity. They only interfere when there is something to gain. Do not think for one second they are in Iraq or Afghanistan to help the people there. There are many many more people they could help with less costs and less dead bodies.

But i will stop about it now, because I know many dont agree. Also forgive me for being harsh, has nothing to do with you or Americans in general. Just the way money decides foreign policy. Europe isnt any better because we are in Afghanistan following your butts

  7. True, was heading towards the General History Discussions Topic... Anyway the point was already made

My grandparents were in one of those trains, but I don't think they look 'ancient'.

I thought I'd use the wink smiley but it somehow came inappropriate to me.

  9. The only thing to add is that World War 2 was the lowest point in the history of human race.

  10. Most certainly. Worst thing something like it will happen again

I know its not ancient history for you and those people. What i ment to say is that America cant keep leaning on the past. What they did then doesnt make things what they do now right.

I am sorry, i should have expressed myself differently,.
