1. MP3s dot...

The easiest way to tell the MFSL remaster to the original Island pressing:

    War

    # Seconds (3:24 instead of the actual 3:10)
    # Two Hearts Beat as One (5:00 instead of the actual 4:02)
    # Red Light (4:09 instead of the actual 3:46)
    # Surrender (6:01 instead of the actual 5:34)
    # "40" (2:08 instead of the actual 2:35)

    The Unforgettable Fire

    # 4th of July (2:39 instead of the actual 2:12)

    The Joshua Tree

Alternate edit of Mothers of The Disappeared which the repeating synthesizer rythym pattern rises in volume before the song fades out out completely. Also alternate running times to One Tree Hill and Exit; and fixes the fade between those two songs which later (CD, cassette and vinyl?) issues re-indexed and fixed.
  2. could be the first official release in 5 or 6 years that I don't buy

Where does all that extra time come from?

  4. going through the same little U2 downer I suffered in the run up to NLOTH. Hopefully Zooropa and Brussels 87 save me again. Or a couple of Irish gigs getting announced

Brussels 87 always works for me!
    Hope you get well soon!
(and a little more OT: I once stayed in the little hotel next to Lansdowne Road. what's it called again?)

only superficial love is free of doubts

    doubts are good

to buy means nothing, fans who buy everything aren't necessarily the best fans

I don't buy this set either, because I love the album too much, think about it

try something extraordinary that you always thought you didn't like, maybe miami

or watch berlin 1981, that gives you pretty much the impression you're the only one to like u2 music and love deepens when you feel exclusive

    cheers
