Here is my latest Muse news (cheap, I know

I finally purchased H.A.A.R.P. (in person)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased it on iTunes as soon as I heard "Map" a while back. Watching the DVD gave me goosebumps. I've made up a new word to describe the introduction. AbsofuckingepicmegaOMGjesuschrist. I love the color effects! Brilliant. After seeing a couple of concerts in person, it made the DVD all the more enjoyable. I was able to put myself in the crowd and imagine the bass moving through my body from the floor. I'm going to start saving my lunch change for Muse tickets now. Sounds really sad, but I'm serious (about $1.25 / week, lmao).
The Resistance - A Review For The Common Man
Uprising - I actually didn't like it at first. I hated the voice that Matt chose and I hated how people would say "Damn kid, doesn't know shit about the world." when they heard the choruses. Now, I'm singing it daily.

Resistance - The guitar tone sounds absolutely brilliant on this track. The synth is beautiful, I always picture the aurora borealis when I hear it.

Undisclosed Desires - The pizzicato in this song is love. I play it every day in Orchestra between songs.

United States Of Eurasia - The Piano / Orchestra choruses sends shivers up my spine. The rest of the song is average. I've based my own opera off of the song. "I'm wearing pants."

Guiding Light - If they edited out the synth and guitar solo, it would be a fantastic song.

Unnatural Selection - During the beginning, I always picture a silhouette of Matt singing into a Megaphone behind a bright blue screen.

I Belong To You - Another grower. But like Uprising, I sing it daily.

MK Ultra - This is almost the greatest song ever written. For me. It has literally everything that I want in a song. And it's all executed perfectly. A perfect background; a dark, secretive government story. This song contains one of my most favorite bass lines. I never thought that I would say this about a bass, but, it's beautiful. It gave me goosebumps. The drums move the song along, eloquently. The main guitar riff is high pitched, and subtly energetic. The second verse has a beautiful Orchestra behind it. Followed by a bad-ass riff. These are all the things that I want in a song. Thank you Muse. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Exogenesis / Overture - My favorite of the three. How Matt pulled this off, I may never know. I know how to compose guitar and piano works, but in Orchestra, I can only compose for Viola. I don't know the other clefs (well, I technically know the G clef, but I can barely play it). I'm used to reading the alto clef for Viola (I only read music in Orchestra). Anyway. The Orchestra is powerful, fierce, and intelligent sounding. Followed my Matt's piercing falsetto. Oh my God, I love it. The guitar would have been better if it was covered in distortion, like Supermassive Black Hole on H.A.A.R.P. ( I swear he's using way more for that performance than on the rest of the tour). A lot of you are thinking that would be out of place and would not match up. Well, exactly. It would just come out of nowhere, and blast us into NGC 4945.
Exogenesis / Cross Pollination - My second favorite of the symphonies. The piano bit is classic Matt. This one revolves more around Rock than the Orchestra. Which is nice I guess, it reminds us that it's really a Muse song that we are listening to. I always picture a dead man in a space suit, on a cheap "Moon landing" set in a basement. I start collecting donations for therapy as soon as I post this.

Exogenesis / Redemption - When Matt started singing, I had goosebumps. I just pictured myself in the Orchestra, playing this. Following the piano's tempo and moving back and forth in my seat. Nothing outer worldly, just me. This is the more personal symphony. During the "We'll get it right, it's our last chance" part, my eyes watered up.
This is my favorite Muse album. It really makes all the other albums sound kind of amateur. The only thing that I would change about it is Guiding Light.
