  1. I will not let them vaccinate me, no issues here in Holland with Mexican flu so no worries.


  2. I don't want it either but I just get it for free anyway. Always get a normal vaccin for influenza and the Mexican one is free. Will get it within a month.

    An aspect of the H1N1: When it infects the lungs, it does more damage than the typical seasonal flu-the same was true of the strain that caused the 1918 pandemic.
    I think what differentiates the H1N1 from the "regular" flu are the the very people it seems to be affecting. Normally, the very, very young and/or the elderly are most vulnerable and suseptible to complications from the flu. The H1N1 however, is affecting otherwise healthy people.
    One also has to keep in mind that virus' evolve. The 1918 pandemic was only a mild disease at first but evolved in ways that made it able to quickly kill previously healthy people.

    All that said, I do agree people are taking things out of context and are a bit to quick to panic. And personally, you couldn't pay me enough to take the vaccine. In fact, I haven't had a flu vaccine in...I think 8 years and I've been sick with the flu maybe once, twice at the most. I thnk in general that the more we tinker with vaccines, (and don't get me started on Antibiotics) the more strains with far more dealdly consequences will surface.

    There's no evidence (and when I say evidence I don't mean some random half-arsed "research") that vaccines are harmful. None. The only harm is when people don't vaccinate, because while they may recover and have no long-term effects from the illness, the people they spread it to may not be so lucky.

    Of course. Even if there are some evidences that vaccines are harmful, you think that we would be let to know that?

    Even scientist are admitting that Maxican flu was released from laboratories and we're getting to the point when medical industry produces both disease and vaccine for it. The vaccine may be ok, but it may even be not so ok.

    Personally I wouldn't take flu vaccine even if someone would pay me, I just don't believe to the vaccine that was made by the same people that made flu.

    It's just a big business - you make the flu = you have to make the vaccine for it = you're selling millions of doses = you're earning BIG money.



    I even heard of scientists and doctors that are claiming that vaccines are made to heal something but their main purpose is to decrease intelectual power of human brain.

    Check your facts. There is clear evidence that is substantially supported and documented that some vaccines are harmful-I should say, have side effects-some of which CAN be harmful. While it is rare for any flu vaccine to have serious side effects there have been plenty of cases documented. Take for example, in the late 70's I believe it was, out of 40 million people who received a flu vaccination, 500 developed a disorder called Guillain-Barre syndrom in which antibodies attack the nervous system. 25 of the 500 died.

    Now, I do not want to convey that I think vaccines are completely detrimental. These vaccines are worthwhile in most cases. But as the saying goes, prevention never comes without risk.

    As for your last sentence, it doesn't make sense as it is implied that people who don't get vaccinated always get sick. This is absolutely false.
    But lets say this is the case; person A doesn't get the flu vaccine and gets the flu. And because person A has the flu, they pass it along to person B who isn't so lucky with recovery.
    So, I guess the question I'd like to pose is, did person B get the flu vaccine?

    In Norway more people died because of side-effects of vaccine then from Mexican flu itself.
