1. On the CP topic:
Well, the thing isnt completely the same obviously; one is made with piano, the other with some dj-set. Doesnt sound completely the same either...

    On the Discotheque topic:
The drums seem to be similar I do hear some similarities, but its not plagiarism
  2. Coldplay - Fix You

Airborne Toxic Event - Sometime Around Midnight

Just listen to the guitar riff for SAM and ask if sounds like Fix You's guitar rush

  3. Bass line...
  4. Good job Lenny...copying the Editors...

  5. Someone said about U2´s MOS and Pink floyd´s lost for words... you know thw worst part? I think U2 could have done it.... makes a lot of sense, I mean, probaby U2 listens to Pink floyd and melodies get stuck in your head. When they improvised MOS came out and they didn´t realise how similar they were. Once I wrote a song on acoustic guitar and I thought it was amazing. At the time I was getting into Oasis. When I was going home listening to my IPod I heard Live forever and was like: hey, they stole my song! hauahuahua.... I just got so disapointed!

Oh God, don't let Pink Floyd hear Moment Of Surrender
  7. If memory serves me right, the outro to Lady With The Spinning Head uses the lead riff for The Fly. It's nice to see how these sounds evolve actually...

  8. Lol, amen to that - thing is, Noel Gallagher (for one) made no bones about it, he attributed it to being paying tribute to stuff he liked by using ideas etc. in his music. As Bono once said, 'every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief'. And on the subject of Muse, I still feel the latest album owes an awful lot to the earlier, but I can see the comparisons regarding Resistance and New Year's Day, hadn't thought of that! Other U2-related ones, I've got a couple of friends who always say U2 ripped off The Vines' 'Get Free' for 'Vertigo'...thoughts?
  9. Wheels by Foo Fighters, I find too be highly reminiscent of Learning To Fly by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Ironic, given that Dave briefly played drums for them.
