1. Dreamt last night they were playing in a Red Rocks style ampitheater, except it was all enclosed. My friend and I walked down the rows trying to find our seats, and we heard the staff as they ran by us saying, "We gotta set up more chairs out in the hall! There's not enough space!" As my friend and I were trying to find our seats, the band walks on stge and starts playing Vertigo. The crowd doesn't seem to notice at all, as they're all talking and shouting to each other too loudly. My friend and I are still in the aisle looking for our seats, and all of a sudden I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around, and there's Bono grinning at me, with his long Vertigo-style hair and dark glasses. He leans close to me and says, "I skipped soundcheck today. I think the crowd is mad about that." Then he ran down past us through the audience on to the stage and starts singing Vertigo, and the crowd finally notices and starts cheering. I woke up before we actually found our seats.
  2. I had a dream last night- was at a show and there was not really a crowd, the house lights were on, but U2 were playing. Some old lady next to me was talking so I asked her to be quiet. She got bit mad so Bono intervened and calmed her down. Then he went to the right of me. I was fiddling with a small cup that was colorful and had earwax on the bottom of it. I guess on the top we all had to write 5 u2 things we wanted and then somehow give the cups to U2. So Bono was on he right of me, and we joked around if we were ever gonna see the presents. Bono had his laptop with him(????) it was running vista. This all happened around seven songs into the setlist. I then woke up thinking how awesome Songs of Ascent is going to be.
  3. I dreamt awhile back- before the 360° Tour was even announced as such- that the tour following Vertigo was going to be INCREDIBLY different, and I got to the show (At the United Center in Chicago), and the stage was separated from the audience by quite a bit, and there was fire being used as an effect EVERYWHERE around the stage...it looked REALLY cool in the darkness.

I fought my way up through the crowds and climbed up into Dallas's little pit. He handed me an SG, and I looked at the stage- Edge was motioning for me to join him. I played all the way through "Elevation" with him, and right after the song ended, I started playing the studio version of "Desire", and Bono gave one of his "sure, why not?" shrugs and we ripped through that too.
  4. last night I had the strangest of U2 dreams - and I haven't dreamt of them for a long while.
I was inside a stadium, as big as Camp Nou, but with the roof closed. 360 Tour for sure, as the Claw was there. I was in GA, front row on Edge's side - but Edge wasn't there. It was Adam standing in Edge's place, busy tuning his bass the whole time, not playing at all. Larry wasn't there either. They started to play, but I couldn't hear a thing. I only know they played because Bono was on the outer circle moving around and the crowd was jumping and clapping hands. nothing was to be heard except the bored chatting of the people around me the woman next to me eventually started to read a book. I took out a pen and began drawing random things on the barrier fence, as there was nothing to do anyway. It was like watching a dvd with sound off. Then there was a break in the middle of the concert, like in theatre or opera, and everyone went outside. I don't know what we did outside, but when we returned, only the band started playing (with Larry and Edge still not there, and Adam tuning his bass again, weird), no Bono. And the crowd jumped like mad at the front. It was U2 instrumental, no vocals. Soemtime I asked why Bono wasn't singing and the lady with the book next to me said: "haven't you heard? he's with us no more." and continued reading. I looked up at the Claw's screen and saw a youtube video running, with breaking news that Bono had passed away
    then I woke up

first thing I did when I got out of bed? turn on Magnificent and put the volume up high - only to hear Bono's voice clear and alive - I realy don't need such a dream again
  5. Dreamed that i was at the airport and saw the band collecting their bags off the carrosel, after they got their bags they started walking over to where i was, i was soo nervous, as bono walked past i said sumthing to him.......

    cant remember anything else.
  6. I had a strange dream last night.
During the dream I found out that my Grandma met Bono in Sydney.

    Strange.
  7. I need to explain a little bit of something here first...

When 360° started, and I knew that I would be at the second date of the second leg, I decided I could stave off U2Start for awhile and not risk spoiling anything for myself about the setlist/production etc. I looked at pictures, but never knew what they would be playing, what was going to happen when, etc. I waited an entire leg +1 show to let 360° blow my mind.

In hope that they'll be changing a few things around for leg 3, I decided this is what I would do for the Salt Lake City premiere- Have my brother download the first audio boot that pops up on U2Start within a few days of the opening night, and stick it on my iPod, and literally start the show on my iPod for me so I don't have to look at a single thing that's on the setlist. From there, I let it run, and just hear it all for the first time without knowing what's coming. I won't be at leg 3 until Chicago, 7/6.

So anyway, in my dream, what I just mentioned had happened. I can't recall anything about the EXACT setlist of the show, but I remember it left me with a knot in my stomach and in tears...not for a good reason. Here's what I remember about the show-

-They opened with "With or Without You", followed by "I Fall Down"
-Large African women filled the stage as Bono gave an early political speech; they were wearing strange, undesirable bikinis
-Many of the songs played were unreleased cuts that the band were literally just screwing around with on stage, such as "Jesus Christ".
-"Your Blue Room" and "Electrical Storm" were staples (I wasn't upset about this necessarily- I just remember it)
-After looking at pictures, the stadium was literally 1/4 full

It was just flat out weird. Some of these things, I wouldn't even mind. Hell, I love "With or Without You" (maybe not AS much on 360°), and if they want to play "I Fall Down" in the acoustic/rotational part of the setlist, then more power to them- if they can make it work. But it was SO disorienting to hear an established closer OPENING the show, followed by a track that's not so widely known/loved, and hasn't been played in WELL over 20 years.

And the African women flanking the stage were really strange, too. It was similar to the kids during "Walk On", and I remember feeling like it had a HUGE emotional impact on the audience and his speech. But I was like.....what the hell?

    YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE!

I had those ALL the time!!!!!
  9. Had a dream a couple of weeks ago that I was in the crowd at Slane during Streets
  10. I have daydreams about U2 in school when I get bored. Mainly just how cool it would be to be able to hang out with them for a day and all the stuff we'd do. Mainly being walking through the mall jamiin on acoustic guitars and freaking everyone out that U2 was just walking around a mall xD
  11. Had a pretty bad U2 dream last night concerning Glastonbury. I was there watching them, really excited about the prospect. They opened with Get on Your Boots, and then played Street Mission followed by Beautiful Day. The thing was, hardly anyone was there to watch them. They were all off seeing other bands and some guy next to me was laughing saying ''who the hell booked these guys?''

  12. Last night I dreamed, me, and a couple of my buddies where playing in a three piece band opening for U2 (I was bass and vocals, for anyone keeping tabs.)

I tried to talk them into playing A Sort Of Homecoming, but they woulnd't. I finally told them, if they woulnd't, we would. Just as we started, Bon, and Edge came out to join us.

It was pretty much the collest dream I've ever had. Aside from being in a successful band, opening for U2, I was also, going steady with a girl I liked, and owned a blue 69 dodge charger, with racing stripes. (my dream car)
