GA was 55 euro's here. Around 80 USD.

The money U2 will get from the red zone places will be used for the RED campaign in Africa.

Thank you...I had know idea that the Red zone seats went to the campaign for Africa. That is good to know and of course for a good cause.But..the GA seats are still alot of money at $250.Thats what they are charging here in the States. How much are the GA tix in Europe???This is the first tour I did not purchase the best tix available.Had to settle for the next price range ($95)

  3. Not on the last leg. My NYC GA (that I had to sell) cost me $75USD including ticketbastard charges. The $250 seats were lower-level seating, not GA standing. Where did you see GAs for $250?

  4. 72€ for Vienna + 32€ for delivery

Btw, how cool would it be if they played Dirty Day and Some Days Are Better Than Others?

If you can on U2's webpage,go to any American show where tix are available. This will take you to the ticketmaster website. The top ticket is $250.That is for GA,the first few rows of the 100 AND the 200 sections. The price dropoff is from $250 to $95.I had very good seats for $95.$250 is a ridiculous price to ask your fans to pay.
I just tried Ticketmaster guys.Invesco Field At Mile High,Denver,CO.06.12.10.Section 126,row 24,seat 13,price level 1.USD $253.00,convenience charge USD $23.55...total for 1 ticket = USD $276.55.That is a RIPOFF.That isnt even a good seat!!!!I dont know how you got a GA ticket for $75.The 2 top ticket prices are $250 and $95..then it drops to $55 and then $35.I have never seen such ridiculous prices for a rock concert ,since the Stones. As is said many times over..to quote Bono,07.12.09 Paris..."I hope you like our space station, you paid for it".Indeed.
  6. So...all very interesting, dont wanna spoil the fun, but maybe we can go back on-topic?

Some Days Are Better Than Others, I like that idea. Acoustic then I suppose, not sure if they'd be able to play it in any other way...

And Dirty Day...well, simply their best song ever, certainly live.

Would it actually work? I'd like to hear it but it could turn out like Desire and Sunday Bloody Sunday.

It is? While I love Zooropa and I'd have it as their greatest album ever and have it over Achtung Baby and The Joshua Tree, surely Zooropa or Stay would rank higher.

It's definitely close to being one of the greatest live songs though, if not the greatest next to Streets or One Tree Hill.

Good question, would it work? I'm afraid I cant tell you...there's only one way to find out I suppose...

    Yes, it is

OK.......Maybe the band should have a setlist that appeals more to the Europeans when they tour there. That would make sense to me, since alot of Europeans love Zooropa.Maybe an acoustic set of Dirty Day,The Wanderer and Zooropa???The First Time and Stay would sound more possible.I would rather hear anything off Zooropa and PoP than ATYCLB.Elevation and Stuck In A Moment are so played out.Zooropa and PoP are certainly not my preferred cd's.They have there moments.Stay is one of my alltime favorite tunes by the band.Lemon is a riot. But,for U2 standards,as far as sales, both cd's did not do well around the globe.I must admit,PoP sounds very good live. The songs have more balls to them and it's a better cd than Zooropa IMO.The Leeds show from 08.28.97 is a great gig.I know the Europeans love both cd's.So,I will be careful here ,as to not offend or insult anyone.I think they should play Dirty Day.But,the truth of the matter is..they wont. They played the song only a handful of times in 1993.But NOT right after the release of Zooropa. They played it at the very end of the 1993 tour.Dirty Day was played only 10 times total, ever. The title track was played even less, 3 times live.I could not believe when the band played their big Dublin show (08.28.93) that was aired over the BBC,they only played 2 songs from Zooropa .I know they did add a few more by the time they hit Australia, but still. So,what Im saying is..if they didnt play the songs from Zooropa back then, when cd just came out, they wont play them now.I wish they would.But..dont hold your breath waiting to hear a song from Zooropa, besides Stay.

I think you might be a little confused about what GA is. GA is 'General Admission/Standing' (ie: you have no seat and are standing on the pitch) and they're never the most expensive tickets. I just checked TM and the GA tickets are around $55-$58 (but of course there are none left). Seats in the 100s are usually about as good as they get without being RedZone or VIP, so of course they're the most expensive (though I agree that price is a lot). The $95 seats are in the upper levels and the $35 seats are behind the stage/in the nosebleeds.
