1. Where did you hear them?
  2. @yuri31

    Haha what's wrong with them?

  3. There was a nasty and pointless discussion about them a while ago and I think that many of us would appreciate if we let the beach clips rest in peace.
  4. Ok I'll take your word for it

    something like that yeah

  6. Please do. It was a long-winded discussion and one member kept bagging on about how great the almost-impossible-to-hear guitar solo and Breathe sounded far better in them than that, and that we should have a Beach Clips Album, and all that kind of bullshit and it dragged on and on and on, and he was almost banned for going on and on and dragging it out and annoying the shit out of members here...just like this post is doing right now.

And man if you argued about how shitty the songs were...someone's gonna kick your head in, so to quote a certain 70s guitarist.
  7. Oh dear it's dropped don't worry haha
  8. I always thought his backing vocals really made NYD.

  9. The version from the Go Home: Live at Slane Castle DVD is spectacular, because Bono holds his note, "We can be onnnnnnne" all the way until The Edge comes in, and they hit a perect chord together- literally makes my heart skip a beat every time it happens.

I've listened to countless, countless live versions of this song, and it very rarely happens this way. Happened in U23D, too, if I remember right. Check it out- really listen for it, it's magical.

Currently listening to "Van Diemen's Land" from Point Depot 26th December, 1989....his voice is beautiful.
