1. It was cool when they did this after Katrina, but it's not cool now. Oh Bono...

  2. Why not now? I didn't get you. Were the Katrina deads more important than the Haiti ones?

  3. No, it's that U2's relationship towards America is something totally different and they basically have nothing to do with Haiti. Now it looks like Bono wants to put his nose everywhere bad things happen to people. Another fine meal for U2/Bono-bashers.

Btw, do you think I'd say the Americans are more important than the Haitians? Dude, come on....
  4. Well safest thing for u2 is not to bother, for me its a great thing they decided to raise money for a good cause. It only took them a day to record it, so there is not much lost.

Wouldnt it be great if they did a Passengers on us? (Not the music but the other name).

Just release an album under another name. And see how they do without the bad image Bono has built up over the years.

what do you mean, bad? in regards of his Africa/charity works, his image of "trying to save the world"? does the public in general see this as bad? I'm not critical, just thinking out loud.

you hate him or you admire him... not much in between
  7. Sure its good but general opinion of him is that he is a bit of a hypocrite. Avoiding taxes, extremely rich guy telling others to give to charity, the arrogance he has, criminalising his downloading fans, his alleged greedyness, etc.

Its not me telling this, but its stuff i see more and more often on non-u2 communities. He's just a very polarising person. You like him or you hate him.

And to be honest it looks like its takes its cost on the rest of the band as well.
  8. atU2's twitter says Edge has been spotted at the Golden Globes tonight, giving an interview to the TV Guide channel...

    +1, sadly.
