    Boy and I think it was The Fly single. Two very different sounds but I love them.
  3. My first album? I don't know, my parents owned the whole collection (up to Rattle And Hum) when I was born, and they have kept on buying them till today. The only things I have bought with my own money are the Slane and Sydney DVDs

    The same happens with the singles. I haven't bought any of them ever, I think the very first one I'll buy will be Get On Your Boots, in less than a month

  6. As a promo single, it should become more of a collector's item; with original reciepts and whatever else - I wish I'd got it signed too.
  7. War and Under A Blood Red SKy on vinyl, back in 1984. My birthday a year later I got Boy and October, also on vinyl. With The Unforgettable Fire on original tape (!). Since then everything was bought in chronological order, with Joshua Tree and Rattle & Hum on vinyl and the rest on cd.

    Still would like to have all their official records on vinyl, it would complete my collection..

    had at that time all there albums on cassete taped by my uncle fom boy until unforgetable fire
    My sister got the Joshua tree for here birthday back in 1987
    first album i get was RATTLE AND HUM on vinyl (for my 17 birthday) 1989
    first album(s) i bought in one day where
    boy october war under a blood red sky unforgetable fire and the joshua tree ....and rattle and hum all on CD
    The rest of the albums i bought where al on the release date ...the singles where al brought out back in 1992 on cd single so i bought them then ....after that i bought them until htdab ....
    from no line i got no singles time to go to a music fair

    However I DO remember my dad were the one who got me the first U2 item
    The rattle and hum dvd
    I think I bought this package actually with different album of theirs, achtung baby, the bomb album, etc. might been the first album (s)
  10. My first cd was a burned copy of Rattle and Hum, that had to have been in early 2000, throughout that year I bought all the albums and then bought ATYCLB on the day it came out
  11. First album: The Joshua tree in 1989 and the When love comes to town single.

    Fist I had on tape at that time was R&H, back in 1988.
  12. First U2 album I bought was How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, and I think Elevation was the first single.
