Gibson Explorer Limited Edition 1976 Reissue (natural)
GIbson Les Paul Custom (Cream Coloured)
Fender Stratocaster (70's style headstock and all, black on black, or white on black)

Am I forgetting any other of his most used guitars? I think those three are the ones he's used since the beginning, and should be considered HIS guitars.

I'm going with the Explorer. 'Nuff said, so to speak.

I doubt we'll ever see a genuine sig. guitar though, just my tuppence worth. I don't see Edge being that bothered, judging by stuff I've read and speculation, but that doesn't mean it won't happen, clearly!

    Death!

I disagree, but there's my opinion too - I love the definition of the Explorer's tone, just feels more [something] than LPs. It has something different to it, although I can't quite put it into words.
  2. IIRC The Explorer has a brighter tone than the Les Paul, which suits the Edge's style better. The much 'edgier' design of the Explorer also suits him compared to the the conservative Les Paul.

What I love about the Explorer is the way it's design is modern and different while at the same time elegant, unlike the Flying V which screams 80s hair band.
  3. Aren't they lovely??

    eBay search.

I'm thinking of buying one or two packs... If they only could combine one pick of each colour
  4. What about this???

    hahaha
  5. Those picks are cool, but if you want the real thing order some Blue Herdims, that's what the edge himself uses. Garunteed he doesn't even use those signed ones.

Yes, of course! And play them inverted too

I just was on the "cool" side of them. If I bought some "Edge signed" picks I wouldn't use them for pllaying either, so who cares.

  7. thanks.. i´d buy, frame them and put them on a wall lol
  8. Another nice one:

Being that Gibson replicated Edge's 1975 Les Paul Custom and fooled both he and Dallas... And that there is a bigger market for Les Paul Customs than Explorers... There is a better chance that Gibson would want to market an Edge Les Paul Custom than an Explorer.

Yeah but they've gone down the Les Paul Custom route for Slash already, namely, and I feel like I'm forgetting another artist that had a Les Paul commemorated after him. Possibly Jimmy Page?

I think releasing an Edge Explorer almost "re-introduces" the guitar, opens up its market again, and potentially increases the popularity.
