    lol that album version of gone is fairly solid... it's more miami that sounds underproduced

    That version of Gone is unfinished? Our ideas of finished and unfinished must be miles apart.



    It took Paul McCartney half an hour to write Yesterday. I'm just saying....


    It also took Bono supposedly ten minutes to write When Love Comes To Town. Some of the best songs are those that are written in short bursts.



    And i can't remember were i read he would sing the new song (though it actually is kind of obvious to sing your new Haïti-song if you're performing on a Haïti-benefit concert...)
    But that Bono will perform this friday is also confirmed by atu2 =>


    So they're clearly recording then. Maybe SoA isn't as far off as we think. It also says Edge will be there too. So it's quite possibly an acoustic song.

  12. Since its Haiti relief, I highly doubt itll be U2. Haiti just happened,and U2 haven't had the time since to produce a studio cut that's up to their releasing standards and all that jazz. Acoustic, live performances (or even clean electric- SIMPLE is what I'm getting at) are much easier to pull off in a short amount of time. So yes, the multiple celebrities involved in this, plus the fact that they cranked it out AWFUL quickly, leads me to believe that it will only be Bono and Edge.

    But Bono and Edge are better than nothing at all, so I'll remain mildly excited to hear it. Can't say it'll be racking up the play counts on my iPod, but it'll be nice to hear something new before the 4-year standard that u2 have set for releases
