1. They won't win for Crazy. I wish Magnificent would have been nominated. But NLOTH absolutely deserves the nomination, it should be nominated as best album. I hope they win in the album category. NLOTH is one of their finest works, it would be a shame to lose in that category.
  2. i don't think they'll win. I wouldn't mind if they won, but if thye lost to Kings of Leon, Green Day, or Eric Clapton, i'll be kinda pissed off. I do'nt think any of those bands/artist deserve to win. Green Day is horrible these days, I just don't get why everyone things Kings of Leon are good, I think they suck, and I'm not a fan of Eric Clapton, but even if i was, why is a live album up for best rock album? That's basically like having a best of up for a grammy, a little unfair and unrealistic. Stupid in fact.
  3. I'll step forward boldly and say they win all 3 categories. Just because
  4. No Line has to win.

  5. I cant stand the 8 wins HTDAAB received. Can live with the ATYCLB winst but...

although I sort of like the idea of No Line becoming their must underrated work and a more sacred one for the fans

2004 or 2005 must have been rather poor years in terms of music when HTDAAB won so many.

And yeah, I fancy that idea, too. The fans appreciate the album.

nonono it's just a very good general music album... with some great songs for the U2 fans on it too.

    So no wins then.

I like the idea of "U2 back to basics", but they way they put it into practice wasn't that good. There are some fine tunes, but the album fails on many artistic levels and All Because of You is truly dreadful.

Agree on ABOY... but songs like Crumbs I do like. I don't dislike those albums, I think it's pretty natural after 3 super-experimental albums to come up with your more primary colours. Kudos for them to make two maybe less-good albums. I still enjoy them. If any other band would have released those albums, they were bombed as new talented kids.

Same counts for No Line. If there was a band that would have kicked off with an album like that, well... that would be a fucking hype. No Line is back to the real U2 for me. We can't have anything in this world, but we have U2.

I mean, who on earth would have expected songs like Fez and Moment of Surrender, No Line, Unknown Caller? Not me. A song like Crazy Tonight/Magnifcent could be expected but no the real gems mentioned above
  11. +1 to Mr. DeVries.

By the way, when and where exactly does the ceremony take place?
