  1. Today while searching for a Mercy torrent I found a "Rare and Unreleased U2" Torrent including songs like "Neon Lights" "Smile" "Native Son" and more. Now, I'm not really informed on all of the releases, but I do love U2 and I know I have never heard these songs before ever. So has anyone else ever heard these?

  4. They are all on youtube as well. It was part of The Complete U2 release on iTunes. That dissappeared a while ago. But this last year the u2.com subscribers gift is a Medium, Rare and Remastered (or something like that) double cd featuring most of these tracks.

    Native Son is a real keeper for me, too- I don't want to get into which is better (there's already a thread for that anyway), but hearing the progress of the song and the subtle things that survived among the hook are fascinating to me.

    For example, listen to Vertigo at precisely the 2:51 timestamp, when Bono says "Kneel!" and listen predominantly to the right channel- you can hear one of the guitar lines from Native Son behind the regular Vertigo hook.
